Reigning world champion Jenson Button has completed a move to McLaren to link up with compatriot and 2008 title-winner Lewis Hamilton.

The 29-year-old Englishman stormed to the title with Brawn GP this season, but has opted for a move to McLaren to boost his hoped of repeating his crown.

A statement on McLaren's official website read: "Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is delighted to announce the signing of the reigning World Champion Jenson Button to a multi-year deal.

"He will be partnered by 2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who will be embarking on his fourth consecutive season as a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver."

The MCC have strenuously denied suggestions that they are considering selling the naming rights to Lord's.

The owners of the historic ground have rubbished claims that their 'Vision for Lord's' project - which will see the capacity of the ground increased to 37,000, the addition of an underground cricket academy and a museum expansion - will result in the sale of naming rights.

But despite the costly nature of the £400million, ten-year project, Bradshaw insists that naming rights to the ground are not on the agenda.

Worcestershire have announced the signing of Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan for the second half of the 2010 season.

The 22-year-old left-hander and left-arm spinner is one of the world game's leading all-rounders and the Pears hope that he will spearhead a drive for a return to the first division of the County Championship.

Veteran lock forward Simon Shaw and Biarritz centre Ayoola Erinle have both been handed starting spots for England's clash with New Zealand at Twickenham this Saturday.

Great Britain number one Andy Murray will take on Roger Federer, Juan Martin Del Potro and Fernando Verdasco in Group A of the season-ending World Tour Finals at London's O2 Arena.

Rafael Benitez has conceded he must win the Premier League title if his reign as Liverpool manager is to be considered a success.

The Spaniard has won the Champions League since arriving at Anfield in 2004, but the Reds' best domestic performance during his reign was a second-placed finish last season.

Liverpool are currently down in seventh place in the league table with many pundits predicting their title challenge is already over for another year after losing five of their opening 12 games.

"Anyone who knows me knows that I want to win every trophy, every game," Benitez told The Times.

"But if you ask me what I prefer, I will say the Premier League."
