Mark Cavendish equalled a British record of eight Tour de France stage wins after sprinting to victory on the road from Vatan to St Fargeau.
The Manx sprinter earned his fourth stage win of this year's race to move level with Barry Hoban's British record on a day of celebration.
Cavendish's win in stage 11 also saw him reclaim the green jersey in the points competition from Thor Hushovd.
The stage had been dominated by a lengthy breakaway from Belgian rider Johan Van Summeren and Marcin Sapa of Poland.
But after the peloton hauled back the duo with just a handful of kilometres left, Cavendish's Columbia team set him up perfectly for the tricky uphill finish and he beat Tyler Farrar to the line.
Italy's Rinaldo Nocentini retained the leader's yellow jersey after finishing in the main group alongside most of his closest challengers in the general classification.
