West Ham have reached an out-of-court settlement with Sheffield United to bring to an end their dispute over the Carlos Tevez affair.
The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed compensation figure - reported to be in the region of £25million - to draw their near two-year dispute to a close.
Last year, Sheffield United were judged to be entitled to compensation after Tevez helped keep the Hammers in the Premier League in 2007 despite being signed ineligibly the previous summer.
An independent tribunal chaired by Lord Griffiths was scheduled to reconvene on Monday morning to discuss the next stage in the protracted saga.
