Ferrari on top in Sepang

Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa completed a Ferrari one-two in Friday's second practice session for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Raikkonen was forced to abandon the first session following mechanical failure but responded with a scorching lap of 1m 35.707s in the searing Sepang heat.

The Finn broke Massa's 2008 pole time of 1m 35.748s, while the Brazilian was second behind his team-mate after posting a time of 1m 35.832s.

Sebastian Vettel was third for Red Bull while further down the field the race favourite with betting experts Jenson Button was seventh and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton 11th.

Hamilton was again off the pace amid an escalating row surrounding his post-race disqualification from last weekend's Australian Grand Prix.

The reigning world champion was also fined 1,200 euro for breaching the pit lane speed limit during morning practice.

During that earlier session, Williams set the pace as Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima completed a one-two.
