Brawn GP ace Jenson Button was delighted after clinching a second successive pole position of the F1 campaign at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Button, who won from pole last week in Australia, edged out Toyota duo Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock to head the grid at Sepang and make him favourites with the online betting experts to win the race.

He said afterwards: "Achieving pole position in Malaysia is possibly even more special than last week in Australia.

"It's not easy to get one pole, but two successive poles is just fantastic and it's a first for me in my Formula One career.

"It's a great feeling and proves that our car works well on different types of circuit. I have to say thank you to the team for their hard work in such tough conditions. They did a fantastic job."

England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff was delighted to end a tough tour of the West Indies on a high note with victory in the five-match one-day international series.

Flintoff guided England to a 3-2 triumph by taking 5-19 in the 26-run win in St Lucia, becoming only the third Englishman to take a hat-tick in ODI cricket in the process.

He said afterwards: "To finish with a win for the team and also have a personal performance in there as well is very pleasing.

"It was important for us to get something out of the tour. We can go back home now and look ahead to what we've got over the next few months and get a bit of momentum for the summer."

Rafa Benitez and Steven Gerrard have been named as the Premier League Manager and Player of the Month for March.

The Reds enjoyed a superb month, winning all three of their league games as well as demolishing Real Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League.

Liverpool started the Premier League month with a 2-0 victory at home to Sunderland, before securing a superb 4-1 win at title rivals Manchester United.

They rounded off March with a resounding 5-0 thrashing of Aston Villa at Anfield, with star midfielder Gerrard scoring a hat-trick to take his tally during the month to six in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Brazil forward Robinho has again committed his future to Manchester City amid continuing rumours that he could move on at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals in 32 appearances since his 32.5million arrival from Real Madrid, but has not found the net since the turn of the year.

However, he told The Sun: "I know about rumours linking me with different teams, but I am not pre-occupied by them.

"My head only has time for City and I want to be the star of this club."
