Brazil ace Robinho has completed his move away from Manchester City by signing for Santos on an initial six-month loan deal.

The 26-year-old forward joined the Citizens in the summer of 2008 from Real Madrid for a British record fee of £32.5million, but has struggled to make his mark in England.

He had previously moved to Europe from Santos in the summer of 2005, but decided to leave the Bernabeu after three seasons with the Spanish giants.

In total he has scored 16 times in 53 appearances for City, but only one of those strikes has come this season.

Burnley manager Brian Laws has made Danny Fox his fourth capture since he replaced Owen Coyle in the Turf Moor hot-seat just over two weeks ago.

The former Coventry City left-back joins the Clarets from Celtic for an undisclosed transfer fee. After signing Frederic Nimani, Leon Cort and Nicky Weaver earlier in the month, Laws has handed Fox a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2013.

The 23-year-old former England Under-21 international started 22 games for the Bhoys after moving to Glasgow in the summer.

Portsmouth manager Avram Grant has persuaded Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara to rejoin the club on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old midfielder made 14 appearances for Pompey, the sportsbook favourites to be relegated this season, in the first half of the campaign but returned to White Hart Lane after the Boxing Day defeat at West Ham United.

He has been an unused substitute in Spurs' recent matches against Leeds United and Fulham.

Grant has been allowed to re-sign O'Hara after the club's transfer embargo was lifted earlier this month. However, Pompey's off-field problems remain with reports suggesting the players' wages have not been paid on time for the fourth time this season.

Grant and chief executive Peter Storrie are not about to walk away from Fratton Park though, as had been suggested on Thursday evening.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has accepted Rio Ferdinand's four-match ban but still believes there should be more consistency in the way the Football Association deals with disciplinary cases.

The former West Ham and Leeds United defender appealed against the three-match suspension he had been handed earlier in the week following his clash with Hull City striker Craig Fagan on Saturday.

However, a disciplinary panel ruled on Thursday that he had no basis to challenge the violent conduct charge and handed him an additional penalty for a frivolous appeal.
