Ronaldo commits to Man Utd

Cristiano Ronaldo has reiterated his commitment to Manchester United after claiming his heart is at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, 24, was expected to be linked with a fresh move to Real Madrid this summer according to sportsbook pundits, but the Portugal winger has attempted to head off renewed speculation by pledging his future to the Red Devils.

His admission comes just days after Real took the unusual step of denying a fresh round of reports which claimed they had already agreed a deal to sign Ronaldo in the summer.

Also staying put is striker Didier Drogba, who insists he has no desire to leave Chelsea in the summer.

Drogba, 31, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge on the back of an inconsistent season and his controversial behaviour at the end of the Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Barcelona.

The Ivory Coast striker is expected to be heavily punished by UEFA following his angry reaction and confrontation with the referee following the defeat on away goals earlier in the month.

But despite the negative headlines surrounding his Stamford Bridge future, Drogba claims he wants to stay with the Blues for the long term.

Everton manager David Moyes has all but given up hope of being able to keep loan striker Jo at Goodison Park next season.

The 22-year-old Brazil international has impressed since joining the Toffees on loan from Manchester City, scoring five times in 12 outings for Moyes' side.

However, the South American cost the Citizens 18million just under a year ago and are not willing to give up on the talented frontman just yet.

Moyes told his club's official website: "I don't see where we could even come close to getting the money they spent on him."

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has closed the door on a summer switch to Chelsea by insisting that he is 100 per cent sure of staying at the San Siro.

The 50-year-old Italian had been touted as the hot favourite to take charge at Stamford Bridge for next season, with Guus Hiddink heading back to his full-time job as Russia national team boss.

However, Ancelotti now says that he is committed to seeing out the final year of his contract with the Rossoneri.

In Germany, newly-crowned champions Wolfsburg wasted little time in naming a successor to coach Felix Magath, who has decided to take charge at Schalke next season.

Armin Veh will take charge at the Volkswagen Arena, having previously led VfB Stuttgart to the title in 2006-07.

The 48-year-old was in charge of Stuttgart for almost three years, before being sacked last November following a 4-1 defeat by Wolfsburg.
