Manchester United have revealed that Carlos Tevez is leaving the club despite being offered a five-year contract.
The future of the Argentina striker has been the subject of intense speculation as his two-year loan deal was set to expire this month.
Initial reports claimed that United were unwilling to make the £30million payment to the owners of Tevez's economic rights to make the loan deal into a permanent transfer.
But although the Red Devils have revealed that Tevez is on his way out of Old Trafford, they have denied being unwilling to sign him on a permanent basis.

The FIA's latest statement confirmed: "The actions of FOTA (F1 Teams Association) as a whole, and Ferrari in particular, amount to serious violations of law including willful interference with contractual relations, direct breaches of Ferrari's legal obligations and a grave violation of competition law.
"Preparations for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship continue, but publication of the final 2010 entry list will be put on hold while the FIA asserts its legal rights."
