Wayne Rooney remains a doubt for Manchester United's Premier League trip to bitter rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the England striker still remains troubled by the calf problem picked up during a World Cup qualifier against Ukraine two weeks ago.
