GREYHOUNDS BETTING RULES

Maximum winnings per person per day is £50,000 on all Bags, Begs and live Sky meetings. All other meetings are capped at £25,000.

Betting market / Betting scenario Bets stand if… Bets are void if… Comments
All bets placed at SP     Bets are on the trap number only, regardless of whether or not a reserve is running.
Bets placed at early or live prices / non-runner   A reserve runs, but the market was not reformed in time to include the reserve. Bets placed at early or live prices are always on the named greyhound.

Tattersall's rule 4 may apply if there is no reserve.
'Forecast'

'Tricast'
    2 selections are non-runners.

A forecast bet includes a vacant trap.
/ 'no race' The race is re-run. The race is declared void and not re-run. In the event of a re-run, all bets will be settled at the starting price, whether or not a price was taken.
'Favourites'

(i.e. the overall performance of favourites over the course of a meeting, measured in points)
A race is not completed, or is declared. A favourite scores 15 points for every race won, and 5 points for every race it places second.

Where there are joint favourites, the one with the lowest trap number will be considered the favourite for setlement purposes.
'Distances'

(i.e. the aggregate winning distances over the course of a meeting)
A race is not completed, or is declared a 'no race'. The maximum make-up per race is 10 lengths.
'Multi-mutts'

(i.e. the aggregate multi-mutt make-up over the course of a meeting)
A race is not completed, or is declared a 'no race'. The multi-mutt make-up equals the trap number of the 1st place greyhound multiplied by trap number of the 2nd place greyhound.

Example:

If trap 4 beats trap 3, the make-up is 12.
'Trap challenge'

(i.e. which trap will have the most winners over the course of a meeting?)
A race is not completed, or is declared a 'no race'. In the event of a tie, dead heat rules apply and the traps involved will be both/all be considered winners.
