We have a bunch of games on hand for tonight in the NBA and everytime I see a few things I like I get the urge to share them with all of you. I have been following things pretty closely lately since we are coming up on a very important time of the season. The All Star Break is fast approaching which means a little rest for the players and that could help us find some profits. Let’s look at a couple games that jump out at me tonight.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are in Indiana tonight to face the red hot Pacers. The Cavs had an emotional victory on Monday night against Washington, a team that was on a 17 game home winning streak and is suddenly third in the conference. The Cavs won the game in overtime but paid a hefty price. Four players from Cleveland were on the floor for more than 40 minutes each and that will take it’s toll against a team like Indiana playing at home.
The Pacers are on a seven game winning streak and also hold a 20-6 home court record this season. Indiana has defeated the Cavs already at home 103-93 in November when the Cavs were playing better basketball than they are now. Let’s also not forget that Cleveland boasted a 7-8 record for the month of January and are in the middle of trade rumors for Carmelo Anthony, something that will also have an effect on players that might be part of that trade. With all this information I also see the Pacers are getting 2.5 points from 888sport.com which even looks more enticing. In this situation I would skip over the points and look for a straight up victory by Indiana that will pay us 2.23.
The Miami Heat a month ago were the laughing stock of the NBA and looking forward to be in this years draft lottery with a 11-30 record. Now in early February the Heat are in the middle of an 11 game win streak, are at 22-30 and stand a chance to make a playoff appearance this season. They will be in Milwaukee tonight and are receiving 3.5 points from the favored Bucks. The Bucks have not been playing well as of late and are 2-10 in their last 12 games and as of right now struggling to get into playoff position. Miami +3.5 really looks good here and pays out at 1.86 but just like the Pacers before I can also see them winning the game outright which pays 2.25.
Combining both as straight up winners in a little 2 team parlay would also pay us a little over 5.00 to 1. Not a bad look for a Wednesday night. Enjoy the NBA action and see you back here soon for some more picks.
