West Bromwich Albion vs BIRMINGHAM CITY: Best Bets

West Brom – 4/5

Draw – 5/2

BCFC – 17/5

Birmingham will make the short journey to The Hawthorns for a Friday night clash with West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

Garry Monk’s side are hoping to snap a run of four successive defeats and 17/5 is a huge price if you fancy BCFC to prevail.

The odds are stacked against Birmingham – and their form in this fixture isn’t great.

A win would taste sweeter after a difficult period but Blues fans might take the 19/20 in 888sport double chance markets against one of their close Midlands rivals.

First things first, Birmingham must start creating chances in the final third.

The Blues have gone four games without scoring and Monk will be urging his side to advance this weekend. Take the 4/9 available for BCFC to score at least once on Friday night.

At the time of writing, West Brom are fourth in the Championship table – 10 points clear of Preston North End in seventh spot.

The Baggies look destined to compete in the playoffs this season and only Norwich City (77) have scored more home league goals than Albion (72).

Stopping the hosts from scoring is going to be very difficult indeed.

Dwight Gayle is a 5/4 shot to get his name on the scoresheet but the Blues will be quietly confident of keeping Albion to under 1.5 team goals. It could be a nervy affair under the Hawthorns floodlights.

As per usual, 888sport have an enhanced wincast for Birmingham fans to get stuck into.

Punters can back Che Adams to score in a Blues win at 7/1 here – Monk’s side will want to make a statement following the international break. Fingers crossed for a positive result…

Birmingham may find themselves up against it but the Blues cannot be discounted ahead of Friday’s clash.

If BCFC can weather the early Albion storm, anything could happen and fans should be optimistic. 3/4 for both teams to score could be the bet of the weekend.

Prediction: West Brom 1-1 Birmingham (5/1)

Bet of the day: Birmingham to win OR draw (19/20)

Outside punt: Birmingham to lead at half-time (18/5)
