LeSean McCoy

Buffalo Bills Top 9/1 NFL Accumulator

We had our first winning accumulator of the 2017 NFL season last weekend and plenty of punters will be keeping a close eye on our latest tips ahead of Week 8. The Buffalo Bills, led by enthusiastic head coach Sean McDermott, head my four-fold for the latest instalment of National Football League action – check out my thoughts below...

BUFFALO BILLS vs Oakland Raiders

Buffalo are 4-2 on the year so far and another win here could see McDermott’s side end the weekend atop the AFC East. LeSean McCoy and Tyrod Taylor have carried the offense so far this year but Buffalo’s success will always be built on defensive stability. Expect turnovers in what could be a stop-start encounter.

Derek Carr was back at his brilliant best last weekend, throwing for over 400 yards and three touchdown passes in Oakland’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. He may find it tougher against this Buffalo defence though – the Bills are usually rock solid on home turf and this one could get away from the Raiders if they fall behind.

TIP: Buffalo to win @ 7/10

After a slow start to the season, the Patriots defence has started to step up – holding their rivals to less than 20 points in each of the last three weeks. It is getting colder in Boston and that can only mean one thing: New England will run the football more often. A low scoring encounter looks likely with that in mind.

Meanwhile, the Chargers will be more than happy to keep the ball on the ground. With the utmost respect to Philip Rivers, he can be a turnover machine and it makes sense to utilise Melvin Gordon out of the backfield. With two top quarterbacks on the field, a shootout is a possibility but the weather could play its part here.

TIP: Under 47.5 points @ 49/50

BREAKING: The New York Jets are 3-4 on the year. Two months ago, they were condemned to the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft – Todd Bowles deserves credit for their solid start to the campaign. Realistically, it is going to get worse before it gets better but another win this weekend would get NFL neutrals re-evaluating the franchise.

The Falcons were bitterly disappointing in last weekend’s defeat to New England and plenty of Atlanta fans were critical of their performance. Since losing former offensive co-ordinator Kyle Shanahan, Matt Ryan and the offense have struggled to get going. Despite their woes, I fancy Atlanta to get past this spirited Jets outfit.

TIP: Atlanta to win @ 4/7

Jameis Winston did his bit in Tampa Bay’s agonising defeat to Buffalo last weekend but the Buccaneers still fell short. The NFC South side, well fancied to win the division at the start of the year, are now 2-4 on the season and the pressure on Dirk Koetter is mounting. Victory here is an absolute must for the Bucs in order to keep pace in the divisional race.

Meanwhile, the Panthers have also struggled in recent weeks – Carolina mustered just three points in their latest defeat to the Chicago Bears. Cam Newton has shown glimpses of star quality this season and another big effort could be on the cards here. Both quarterbacks are capable of flinging the football about and the over 44.5 points mark looks favourable.

TIP: Over 44.5 points @ 10/11
