C&D winner who also ran creditably on reappearance here this time last year, though subsequently was beaten at 4/1 or shorter 8 times in 2025 and returns from 161 days off on the back of a breathing operation. Questions to answer but has been given a chance by the handicapper.

Enthusiastic front runner who proved better than ever when easy winner of 5f handicap at Haydock in September. He was seen to maximum effect when bagging the favoured rail that day, but this track should again suit his style and he's one to strongly consider on the back of a recent outing.

C&D winner who also landed a handicap at Royal Ascot in 2024 but has struggled to stand much racing since. Return to turf after a couple of lesser efforts on all-weather (not seen to best effect last time) will likely suit but he's hard to have too much faith in right now.

Listed winner at York over 5f last May before losing his way through the summer. Got back on track when mid-field in the Portland at Doncaster on final 2025 outing and represents a top yard but he needs to improve for gelding operation on return from 203 days off.

Useful sprinter who doesn't always impress with head carriage but he won 4 times in a productive 2025, including at Southwell in August. Not seen to best effect on either start since and not one to rule out returning from 182 days off given he won on reappearance last year.

Completed hat-trick in the Portland at Doncaster in September and ran well when third by a neck over 5f at York the following month. Not seen to best effect from wide draw on final outing and merits respect returning from 175 days off over C&D she's won at previously.

Won twice in 2025 before proving out of depth in the Abbaye at Longchamp before a 6-month absence. Plenty to like about his third at Southwell on recent reappearance, however, and he's relatively lightly raced so looks the type that could figure prominently in competitive turf handicaps this year.

Reeled off 3 runner-up efforts before winning at Catterick in October. Subsequently struggled from 5 lb higher mark in a better race on next and final outing of 2025. Needs a career-best performance on return from 161 days off.

Below best when making frame on all-weather both starts this year and still a couple of pounds above the mark that saw him win on turf at Newbury in August so he looks best taken on for win purposes in this better race.

Kicked on from causing 200/1 shock at Newcastle around this time last year, subsequently winning twice more at that track this winter and making up into a useful handicapper. Big question marks about whether she'll prove as effective on turf. Engaged 3.35 Newcastle Wednesday.

Proved a revelation in 2024, winning 7 times and climbing over 30 lb in the weights. Still proved competitive on occasions last year and his mark is edging back down so he's not one to write off, though he's generally needed his first run of the season with tempers enthusiasm for him here.

More miss than hit last year but was successful at Ascot in August from 3 lb higher mark than he races from here. Looked rusty on recent reappearance at Southwell but capable of giving a better showing with that outing under his belt.

Won a much lesser race than this at Redcar last May and went the wrong way after. This task looks beyond him.

Twice a winner in Ireland last year, including handicap over 7f at Gowran Park in September. Produced a career-best effort when second of 7 in conditions race at the Curragh on latest start, but off 189 days since and questions to answer dropping right back to 5f on first start for new yard.
