One of the great underdog stories to even make the World Cup, Curaçao’s sports betting odds aren’t going to attract much attention this summer.

It’s all about the experience for this Curaçao squad after failing to win a match at the 2025 Gold Cup. With group fixtures against Germany, Ecuador and the Ivory Coast, Curacao are certainly up against it.

What is the average salary for Curaçao players?

The average weekly salary for Curaçao players is likely around £5,000. It might be slightly less than that, but the lower-salaried players generally don’t have their wages publicly available.

Just under half of the Curaçao World Cup squad are playing for a Dutch club. Others are dotted around Switzerland, England, Greece, and various other countries where the salaries will vary considerably.

Who are the top earning players for Curaçao?

Sontje Hansen is on £20,000 per week at Middlesbrough. Tahith Chong’s weekly wage at Sheffield United is similar, though some outlets report it is a few thousand per week higher than Hansen’s mark.

Playing for Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, central defender Armando Obispo is reportedly on just under £10,000 per week. Judging by the clubs they represent, these are expected to be the three highest-paid players in the Curaçao squad.

How much does the Curaçao manager earn?

Veteran manager Dick Advocaat is on around £90,000 per year as Curaçao manager. Advocaat has previously had salaries in the seven-figure range during his time in charge of Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, and others.

Less than two years shy of his 80th birthday, Advocaat is an iconic manager. He’s had three spells in charge of the Netherlands, and has managed South Korea and Belgium.
