The average salary across the Ecuador World Cup squad is around £20,000. There are extremes at both ends, with a Chelsea star significantly increasing the squad average.

Only seven of the 26-man squad play in Europe’s top five leagues. Two players, Gonzalo Valle and Jordy Alcivar, are the only players currently playing for Ecuadorian clubs.

On £250,000 per week at Chelsea, Moisés Caicedo is far and away the highest-earning player in the Ecuador World Cup squad. PSG’s William Pacho is reportedly on around £160,000 per week, while Arsenal’s Piero Hincapié is on approximately £65,000 per week. 

Pervis Estupiñán is also on a substantial salary at Milan. Enner Valencia, who turns 37 in November, has earned a vast amount throughout his career. 

How much does the Ecuador manager earn?

Ecuador manager Sebastián Beccacece is on around £1.9 million per year. Beccacece has been in charge of Ecuador since August 2024 – the Tri have conceded seven goals in 19 matches since Beccacece was hired.

This is his first job in international football after spells as a club manager in Chile, Argentina, and Spain.
