Real Madrid always have a very clear strategy on the market. Investments are made only at the right moments, no rush on new signings and priority for the renewals of those who have been making the history of the club for many years now.

That's why, just before the World Cup, Carlo Ancelotti together with Florentino Perez and the men on the club's board had decided not to proceed with any deal for January 2023: the idea was to stay with the same team until the end of the current season and the decision has not been changed because the belief is that this is the best strategy for the club.

The basis of this choice is clear: the summer will be busy for Real Madrid with important decisions already in the coming weeks, waiting for Toni Kroos to communicate whether he wants to continue at the club with a new contract ready or retire.

Luka Modric will also have to choose the next step in his career. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are monitoring the market for midfielders with Jude Bellingham in Florentino Perez's list in a fierce race with Liverpool and Manchester City.

But certainly Real Madrid will be active in the summer, while they have chosen to wait on any investment in January precisely because there weren't the right opportunities and they wanted to protect this group.

While the club prepares the contract extensions of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Eder Militao and of course Karim Benzema, Real Madrid were offered the chance to sign Joao Cancelo in January when the Portuguese fullback decided to end his relationship with Manchester City.

Real Madrid's response was clear: no interest in a deal with a €70m buy option, no intention of proceeding with negotiations on those terms and so Cancelo was never a concrete target for Real. Bayern Munich had conviction from the first minute in signing Cancelo, this made the difference.

However, Real Madrid are convinced that they have made a signing that can have incredible potential in the future: Endrick is a deal that has kept Real board busy in a particular way during a long and difficult negotiation, given that Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain wanted to sign him at every cost with very important offers.

Real Madrid's strategy has been successful and the club is convinced that although many think it was a quiet transfer window for the Blancos, this December 2022/January 2023 will be remembered for Endrick as a new signing who can do excellent things in the future of the club.

Clearly it will take time, the boy is only 16 years old and will arrive in June 2024, but the potential is of a super talent and this is the belief of Real Madrid who have kept funds for the summer and invested a lot in Endrick to build the future with another Brazilian star after Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Kaka, Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and many others.

Real Madrid's strategy started long ago and will continue, but in the summer the idea is to return to improve the team to help the manager. Step by step, with confidence; this is Madrid's strategy.
