How Does It Work?
If “Best Odds Guaranteed” shows on your betslip, you know you will get the best possible price. This only accounts for wagers placed after 8am on the day of the race and only applies for certain races.
The general concept is simple: If you bet on a horse at 4/1, but they later drift to 6/1, a winning bet will be paid out at 6/1 rather than 4/1. You have also locked in the 4/1 price in case the horse’s odds shorten.
Best Odds Guaranteed covers race winner markets, each-way bets, and multiples. It is available to all bettors in the UK and Ireland, but only applies to real-money wagers.
This promotion is not relevant for antepost bets or other enhanced offers and specials.
Each-Way Bets
Best Odds Guaranteed is calculated independently for the “win” and “place” bets in an each-way wager.
If you place an each-way bet at 8/1 (place terms being 1/4 of the odds) and the horse wins at an SP of 10/1:
- for the ‘win’ portion, we will pay at the higher odds i.e. the higher SP of 10/1; and
- for the ‘place’ portion, we will pay at the higher odds multiplied by the relevant place terms i.e. the higher SP of 10/1 odds multiplied by 1/4.
