Craven Cottage has a unique atmosphere. Nestled on the Thames, there’s a homeliness to Fulham’s stadium. It’s not a hostile venue like some of its Premier League counterparts, instead it’s more of a reflection of the affluent part of the capital which it represents.

Fulham aren’t the most well-supported team in their corner of west London. A club with a plenty of history in the topflight, they have rarely been in the mix for silverware, but they have been home to some well-known players and managers over the years.

There’s an element of glamour associated with Fulham and not just because of their location. From Johnny Haynes and Bobby Robson to Dimitar Berbatov and Steed Malbranque, Fulham’s fanbase have been able to cheer one some iconic players.

Hugh Grant

A lifelong Fulham fan and a regular at Craven Cottage, Hugh Grant worked as a groundsman in his younger years.

Going on to become a true Hollywood star, Grant still makes time for his beloved Whites. No one can question the legitimacy of Grant’s fandom. He’s to Fulham as Danny Dyer is to West Ham and Sam Fender is to Newcastle.

Margot Robbie

There are plenty of surprising celebrity football fans. Margot Robbie’s affiliation with Fulham is certainly in that category. Robbie’s support of Fulham is through her husband, Tom Ackerley, who has been a fan of the club throughout his life.

Relatively frequently seen at games, it’s clear the Barbie star has pledged her allegiance to Fulham. The first public acknowledgement of her support was back in 2014.

Richard Osman

Richard Osman is a season-ticket holder at Craven Cottage. Supporting Fulham has been passed down the generations of his family, leading to Osman becoming one of the UK’s most famous Fulham supporters.

Vocal about the highs and lows of following Fulham on social media, Osman’s typically pithy attitude is reflected in his football outlook.

In 2016, Osman donated a plaque for the George Cohen statue to go to a fan to commemorate a loved one.

Emily Maitlis

Former Newsnight presenter and world-famous interview Emily Maitlis has long been associated with Fulham. A common name on lists of Fulham’s most famous fans, Maitlis is best known for the cringe-inducing interview of Prince Andrew.

Since leaving the BBC, Maitlis has been working for the News Agents alongside Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall.

Lily Allen

Lily Allen has ridden the peaks and troughs of sports fandom with Fulham. Allen was at the Europa League final when Fulham lost in 2010 and will regularly be spotted in the Craven Cottage crowd.

In her early celebrity years, it was revealed during an interview that she had a jersey signed by the Fulham squad in her flat. According to the same interview, Allen attended her first Fulham game in 1992 or 1993.
