The London Evening Standard are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose wants to leave the club this summer, with Leeds United transfer news columns hinting at a potential switch to Elland Road.

According to The Mail on Sunday, Leeds are interested in signing the defending this summer and Spurs are willing to let him leave the club on a free transfer. However, Leeds are likely to face stiff competition for his signature.

With the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Napoli linked with Rose, the 30-year-old is in demand and Rose may decide to pledge his allegiance to the highest bidder. Having spent a small fortune already this summer, Leeds may have to reluctantly give way.

According to Spotrac.com, Rose earns £60,000 a week at Tottenham and that is likely to be out of budget for Leeds. However, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see the two parties come to an agreement, with Rose preferring to stay in the Premier League.

Spurs would prefer to sell Rose ahead of the 2020/21 campaign but a loan deal would at least ensure his wages are off the books this season. Meanwhile, Leeds would get a talented defender with plenty of top flight experience.

Arsenal Standing Firm Over Martinez Price

Leeds United will have to fork out £20 million to sign Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal this summer, with the Gunners refusing to consider bids that fail to meet their asking price.

According to various reports, Aston Villa are front runners to sign Martinez but Dean Smith’s men cannot match Arsenal’s valuation for the Argentine.

Kiko Casilla’s status at the club is up in the air, with the Spaniard’s conduct coming under scrutiny last season. Should Marcelo Bielsa choose to sign Martinez, Casilla will be the one to leave Elland Road this summer.

With reports stating that Villa are lining up a second bid for Martinez, Leeds may have to act quickly to hijack a move for the 27-year-old. Martinez is a man in demand, with around 10 clubs considering a bid for the goalkeeper.

Leeds Still Considering Wilson Bid

Phil Hay of The Athletic has claimed that Leeds are still keen to sign Liverpool’s Harry Wilson before the end of the summer transfer window.

Deals for Rodrigo De Paul and Josko Gvardiol are ongoing but the Whites are interested in a move for the Wales midfielder, who impressed on loan at AFC Bournemouth last season.

According to Hay, Leeds United’s head of recruitment Victor Orta is a big fan of Wilson and that could be a key factor in the club’s decision to pursue the Welshman.

With newspapers reporting interest from Fulham in the last week, Leeds may need to fight off competition in the transfer market to bring the Liverpool man to Elland Road.
