France are once again one of the sports betting favourites to win the World Cup.

Winners eight years ago and runners-up in agonising fashion in Qatar, Les Bleus have evolved their squad over the last four years, and once again look like a true powerhouse.

Facing Senegal, Iraq and Norway in the group stages, most fans agree that France should top the group and it'll be interesting to see how they cope with the pressure as the tournament goes on.

What is the average salary for France players?

The average salary in France’s World Cup squad is around £100,000 per week. Very few players in the 26-man group are on less than £80,000 per week, and several are on more than £250,000 per week.

The conveyor belt of talent continues for Les Bleus. Their squad has seen several big names depart in recent years, but the young stars keep coming through, with PSG trio Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, and Warren Zaïre-Emery among the standouts.

Who are the top earning players for France?

Kylian Mbappé has a weekly wage of approximately £500,000. Ousmane Dembélé is in the £300,000 region, and Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise is reportedly on £220,000 per week.

Interestingly, a move to the Saudi Pro League has made Theo Hernandez the second-highest earning player in the World Cup squad. Hernandez’s weekly wage is apparently more than £300,000.

How much does the France manager earn?

Didier Deschamps’ salary is reportedly £3.3 million. Deschamps has the seventh-highest salary among World Cup managers, and he’s one of the longest-serving international managers in recent memory, having taken the France job in 2012.

A World Cup winner in 2018 and runner-up four years later, Deschamps has confirmed he will leave the job at the end of this summer’s tournament.
