The average salary in the Norway World Cup squad is around £50,000. There are some big names that drag the average higher, and a few players that will be earning significantly less than £50,000 per week.

Jens Petter Hauge and Henrik Falchener, for instance, are nowhere near the squad average. There are players from Manchester City, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, and Atletico Madrid, though, who are on some enormous contracts.

Who are the top earning players for Norway?

According to reports, Erling Haaland is on £500,000 per week on his current contract at Manchester City. Arsenal’s Martin Ødegaard is on more than £200,000 per week, and Atleti’s Alexander Sörloth is reportedly on more than £100,000 per week. 

Ørjan Nyland, Sander Berge, and Julian Ryerson are among Norway’s other high earners. 

How much does the Norway manager earn?

Ståle Solbakken is on around £800,000 per year as Norway’s manager. Solbakken won 58 caps for Norway between 1994 and 2000 before turning his hand to management with Hamarkameratene in 2002.

The veteran has been in charge of Norway since December 2020, despite failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup and he played a key role in Norway topping their World Cup qualifying group ahead of Italy.
