Today's NAP (Best Bet)

4.20 Ascot – Stradivarius

Ten horses go to post for the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot on Thursday, with Stradivarius bidding for a fourth victory in the Group 1 feature.

The eight-year-old is aiming to equal the record set by Yeats, who won four successive Gold Cups between 2006 and 2009.

The Gosden-trained son of Sea The Stars won the race between 2018-2020, but could only finish fourth last year behind the winner Subjectivist.

Winner of the Yorkshire Cup in mid-May, Stradivarius should ultimately be too streetwise for the opposition here and his staying prowess should see him through.

Those looking for an alternative each-way option could do no worse than siding with the popular grey mare Princess Zoe.

Today's NB (Next Best)

6.10 Ascot – Path Of Thunder

The Godolphin-owned Path Of Thunder was inexplicably poor in the Victoria Cup at Ascot in the first week of May, but ran with credit two weeks later at York and cannot be overlooked at odds of 20/1.

The five-year-old ran well in his Meydan races over the winter, winning one and placing in two others.

Horse Racing Tips Thursday 16th June

Bar that Ascot performance he’s run some very solid races this season and should give any punters placing their horse racing online bets a good each-way run for their money.

Dangers on paper include the William Haggas-trained Montasibb and Chiefofchiefs under Jamie Spencer.

Today's Longshot

5.00 Ascot - Oh Herbert’s Reign

Richard Hannon’s Acclamation-colt has yet to win outside of Yorkshire but he is definitely due another victory somewhere soon based upon his recent efforts.

The 91-rated handicapper races off a rather fair looking 8st 12lbs and Pat Dobbs takes the mount.

He could well defy his current odds of 33/1 and is the type of horse to bet on in the extra-place markets.

Of the others, Wanees looks a really interesting type for the Jim Crowley/Charlie Hills pairing and 20/1 for Ryan Moore aboard Thesis has to come into your betting deliberations too.
