Today's NAP (Best Bet)

3.20 Catterick – What A Dude

A Class 5 Nursery Handicap over seven furlongs limited to two-year-olds only is the port of call for our 888Sport daily NAP today.

On this occasion we are siding with the Brian Ellison-trained What A Dude who is the most experienced horse in this field of six, and who relished the step up to seven furlongs last time out at Redcar.

His four runs over five furlongs bore no fruits, but an extra two furlongs worked the oracle for the gelding and he scooted up by three lengths at the North Yorkshire track.

What A Dude has subsequently changed yards from Mick Channon to Brian Ellison, but I am pretty sure the switch won’t be detrimental to his chances at all on Wednesday and he holds a solid chance.

Today's NB (Next Best)

3.40 Yarmouth – Beryl Burton

Those of you placing your midweek horse racing online bets with us at 888Sport may want to give careful consideration to the John Berry-trained Beryl Burton at Yarmouth.

Ridden by the useful 3lb claimer Faye McManoman, the four-year-old filly has been knocking on the door in all of her runs this season and is well overdue another win.

She may only have one win from her fourteen starts thus far but she is invariably on the premises whenever she runs.

The quality of the opposition here gives Beryl Burton a great opportunity to strike, even off top weight.

Today's Longshot

3.50 Catterick – Diocletian

None of these two mile stayers were/are ever going to make the Grand National betting, but one of these runners was a pretty decent hurdler back in the day with Andrew Balding- with that horse being Diocletian.

Totally unsexy form figures this season will see most punters giving him a wide berth but he races off a really attractive mark today and could well spring a surprise.
