Nicky Henderson is the second most successful trainer in Cheltenham Festival history having sent out a total of 75 winners.
From his very first Festival winner, See You Then (1985), through to Doddiethegreat (2025) last year, Henderson has trained some memorable winners down the decades. Household names such as Sprinter Sacre, Buveur d’Air and Altior are to name but a few.
Here is our comprehensive A-Z stable tour of Nicky Henderson’s scheduled participants at The Festival this year:
- ACT OF INNOCENCE – The 138 rated hurdler goes for the Turners’ Novices’ Hurdle for which he is a 10/1 fancy.
- DODDIETHEGREAT - Winner of the Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham last March and will contest the Stayers’ this year.
- EAST INDIA EXPRESS – Goes for the Martin Pipe with the most experienced conditional jockey Freddie Gordon on his back.
- HOLLOWAY QUEEN – The mare is in the National Hunt Chase, but she loves it soft and will need her ground on the day.
- HYLAND - Finished fourth, beaten a length and a half, to Deep Cave in the Silver Cup at Ascot and now goes for the Ultima.
- IBERICO LORD – Took the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton and will attempt to win the Coral Cup next.
- IMPOSE TOI - Would have leading claims in the Stayers’ Hurdle but he would want good ground to make him a strong bet.
- JANGO BAIE – Henderson says he would be very disappointed and surprised if he didn’t stay in the Gold Cup, plus he ticks most boxes.
- JERIKO DE REPONET - 145 rated chaser who is currently the 4/1 favourite for the Kim Muir.
- JINGKO BLUE - Ran a very good race in the Cleeve Hurdle and has his sights set on the Coral Cup.
- JONBON – The main man at Seven Barrows is still waiting to get the Festival monkey off his back. Can he finally win the Champion Chase this year?
- KHRISMA – The 6-y-o mare attempts to do a Imperial Cup/Festival double, starting at Sandown on March 7th, but will she succeed?
- LULAMBA – Last seen collecting the trophy in the Grade 2 Game Spirit Chase at Newbury, Lulamba is a worthy 9/4 favourite for the Arkle Chase.
- MANLAGA – The filly goes for the Fred Winter after a cozy victory in the in the Victor Ludorum Hurdle at Haydock.
- MUSTANG DU BREUIL – The 4-y-o will join stablemate Manlaga in the Fred Winter.
- OLD PARK STAR – Scored by a eyewatering 18 lengths at Haydock last time and goes into the Supreme with a solid favourite’s chance.
