One of the most highly regarded sports presenters in the world, Kate Scott used to feature on Sky Sports and has become the lead presenter for CBS’ widely applauded Champions League coverage.
Scott’s mix of knowledge and wit has led to viral clips aplenty. Anyone with even a passing interest in football betting will be familiar with Scott through videos alongside Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards.
How Much Is Kate Scott Worth?
Having been in the sports media industry for around two decades, Scott’s net worth is projected to be £2 million. It could be up towards the £5 million range depending on how she has used her salaries.
Estimations of Scott’s salary vary depending on the outlet. Most hover around the £500,000 mark for Scott’s CBS annual earnings, which would fall in line with other sports presenters of a similar profile.
Scott has worked for many of the world’s biggest media companies throughout her illustrious career. While her net worth is a long way shy of some of her TV colleagues, she’s more than comfortable financially.
Husband
In 2024, Kate Scott married Malik Scott in Malibu Hills, California. A former professional boxer, Malik had a professional record of 38-3-1.
He has since turned to coaching and began working with Deontay Wilder in 2021.
UFC
Scott will host the broadcast desk for UFC 324 in January 2026. Familiar with high-profile events, including Ballon d’Or ceremonies and the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, Scott joins Michael Bisping, Dominick Cruz, and Chris Weidman on the desk.
It is the first endeavour of a multi-billion-dollar deal between UFC and Paramount.
This gig is the latest step in Scott’s journey to becoming the world’s most highly regarded sports broadcaster.
Languages
Scott’s remarkable ability to switch between languages has resulted in numerous viral clips, from conducting live interviews with players to covering ceremonies in multiple languages.
The Manchester-born presenter speaks fluent Spanish, German, and French. Spanish was learned during her time living in Malaga. Scott then studied European Languages in Salford and spent time living in Germany and France.
It’s a skill that really makes Scott stand out from the pack. So few people can speak fluently in two languages, let alone being able to switch between four languages so seamlessly.
Jamie Carragher
Scott and Carragher had an awkward interaction in 2024 while broadcasting live on CBS. First, Carragher made a joke about Scott’s loyalty when she refused to wear an Arsenal shirt, which he followed up by saying ‘not to Malik’.
Scott, understandably infuriated, responded to Carragher before a public comment from her husband about wanting to talk to Carragher.
The following day, Scott cleared up the situation.
On a live broadcast, she said, "This group, we've been together now for three-and-a-half-years is it? And I grew up with a brother and doing this show I feel like I've gained three more here."
Continuing, Scott referred to Henry as "the golden child who can do no wrong," and identified Richards as "the little bro - loud by loveable."
"Then there is the middle child, Jamie Carragher. Chip on his shoulder, capable of saying anything for attention.
"Does he go too far sometimes? Absolutely. Does he apologise? Yes, he does - but all of us have that one annoying family member that we still love and accept."
Any bad blood between Malik and Carragher was cleared up with an in-person discussion.
