Ten pairs will compete in the Mixed Competition, hoping to make the final on Tuesday, 10 February, and it promises to be compelling event.

Nine of the 20 athletes competing in the mixed pairs have previously won Olympic curling medals, and four of the last five mixed doubles world champions will compete in this year’s Olympic competition, making it one the toughest curling events to win.

The format of the competition starts out with a round-robin, where all pairs will play each other once.

The top four pairs after the round-robin stage will then advance to the semi-finals, where the winner will meet the fourth-placed team, and the runner-up will take on the third-placed team.

The successful pairings in those games will be seeded into the gold medal game, while the losers will fight it out for third, and the bronze medal.

The 10 Mixed Doubles Pairings are:

ITALY: Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner won gold in their first-ever Olympic curling mixed doubles attempt in Beijing 2022, and come into this year’s Winter Olympic games as the tournament favourites.

GREAT BRITAIN: World silver medallists and world champions from 2021 Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat will represent Great Britain.

USA: Former world champions Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse make up the United States pairing, bringing a wealth of experience to the Italian venue.

CANADA: Husband-and-wife team Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant, won the first-ever mixed doubles curling gold at PyeongChang 2018. They will be keen to return to the podium this year after missing out in 2022.

SWEDEN: Brother-and-sister pairing Rasmus Wranå and Isabella Wranå, who took the world title in 2024, will be fancying their chances of a medal also.

ESTONIA: Estonian debutants Marie Kaldvee and Harri Lill qualified via their fourth-place finish at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in Canada.

NORWAY: Two-time Olympic mixed doubles medallists Magnus Nedregotten and Kristin Skaslien would dearly love to add to their current haul this year.

SWITZERLAND: Husband and wife pair Yannick Schwaller and Briar Schwaller Huerlimann will be making their Olympic debut in Italy.

CZECHIA: The youngest team to compete are Julie Zelingrova (aged 19) and Vit Chabicovsky (aged 21).

SOUTH KOREA: Kim Seonyeong and Jeong Yeongseok secured the last qualifying place at Milano Cortina 2026.
