Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a midfielder for Liverpool and England.

First breaking onto the scene as a teenage sensation, Oxlade-Chamberlain has featured in Premier League betting for over a decade, and has become a Premier League and Champions League winner with Liverpool.

Debuting for England back in 2012, Chamberlain has fallen out of favour over the last few years as injuries and limited gametime have seen his stock fall.

Liverpool have been a perennial betting favourite, which has added to Chamberlain’s medal collection, but he has not been first-choice at Anfield.

His last appearance for the Three Lions came in 2019, and he has his work cut out to get back in Gareth Southgate’s squad in the near future.

Net Worth

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s net worth is reportedly £13.1 million, as reported at HITC.

A decade playing for two of Europe’s biggest clubs is a sure-fire way to rack up wealth of that amount, and Oxlade-Chamberlain has made additional cash from some endorsement deals.

Back in 2013, Chamberlain was a brand ambassador for BT Sport. More recently, he has been involved in Liverpool’s partnership with Nivea, and has been in a long-term partnership with Nike as his boot supplier.

None of these agreements individually will have matched his massive wages, but they will have supplemented that income. Chamberlain has also struck other product promotion deals over the years.

Contract

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s current contract runs until the end of the 2022-23 season.

As it stands, Oxlade-Chamberlain will be one of the biggest names in Premier League predictions heading for free agency, as Liverpool ownership doesn’t seem to be in a rush to offer him an extension to his £120,000-per-week deal.

Chamberlain signed a five-year deal when he joined Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017, and then added a further year in 2019.

His £120,000 weekly wage raised some eyebrows at the time of the move, but it has become a less spectacular figure during his contract.

There are 53 players earning more per week in 2022-23, and Danny Ings, Yerry Mina and Kurt Zouma are three of several on the same salary.

Following the extension of his contract in 2019, Oxlade-Chamberlain spoke of his excitement about staying at the club.

"I'm really, really excited - it's been in the pipeline for a little while, so it's nice to finally get it done and just extend my time here, which I am really looking forward to.

"I feel like I missed out on a year, which I obviously did, so it's really exciting for me to be able to sign.

"It's something that I feel is an opportunity to give that year back and make up for lost time - and hopefully put in some good performances to make amends for not being around last year.

"You've got to count your blessings every time you get an opportunity like this, you don't get the chance to play for Liverpool Football Club every day. I am really excited to be able to extend my time here."

It appears Chamberlain’s time at Anfield is coming to an end, however, with Neil Jones of Goal reporting in the summer of 2022 that Liverpool were open to selling.

Jones wrote, "As for Oxlade-Chamberlain, the word from inside Liverpool is that he’s likely to stay, but his contract expires next summer and an offer of £12 million would surely offer plenty of temptation.

"Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t feature at all in the final two months of last season, though he did make valuable contributions throughout the campaign, not least in January when Salah, Keita, and Sadio Mane were away at AFCON.

"With games coming thick and fast, especially ahead of the World Cup, it is no surprise that managers are looking to give themselves as many options as possible.

"The more pertinent question, where Liverpool's midfield is concerned, is whether those options can deliver."

Chamberlain ultimately stayed at the club, but it would be a surprise if Liverpool extended his deal into 2023-24 and beyond.

Mum

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the son of Wendy Oxlade and Mark Chamberlain, a former footballer for Stoke City and Portsmouth. Chamberlain’s mother Wendy has often been seen supporting him at matches.

His parents encouraged his sporting interests from a young age, with Chamberlain competing in various sports as a child. In fact, it was even revealed that he nearly opted to play rugby instead of football.

Wife

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not married, though he is in a long-term relationship with Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.

While not quite reaching the status of a 2020s Posh and Becks, Chamberlain and Edwards are still a prominent celebrity couple, and they celebrated their engagement in the summer of 2022.

Their relationship has been under the microscope, with each of them often asked about the other in interviews.

Back in 2019, Edwards was asked by Notion Magazine about Alex, "He's like, perfection. He's not too much, he's not too clingy, but he's not too cool for school.

"He's got a perfect balance, he's super supportive of everything I do, which is so nice. He just wants the best for me, as do I him. So it's just a lovely balanced healthy relationship, and I love it. It's a breath of fresh air."

They welcomed their first child, Axel, together in 2021. Updates on their relationship have often been shared on their respective Instagram accounts, including Edwards making their engagement public with the caption, "Last night the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!"
