While he isn’t necessarily a household name for those who don’t follow wrestling, Rhodes is a true icon to fans of the sport. He has been at the centre of some of the most dramatic moments in WWE history.

Let’s learn a little bit more about the Marietta native…

How Much Is Cody Rhodes Worth?

Cody Rhodes’ net worth is reported to be in the $8 million region. While his annual earnings will fluctuate, it’s thought that Rhodes has a base salary of around $500,000 with the WWE.

Like other big-name wrestlers, Rhodes’ financial dealings are not all public knowledge.

His investments and endorsements are not necessarily known beyond the people closest to him, and these are areas that could significantly inflate his net worth.

Either way, Rhodes isn’t exactly short of cash. His earnings are several times higher than the average in the UK and the US, and he will have plenty of money coming his way in years to come.

Is Cody Rhodes Married?

Cody Rhodes married ex-wrestler and ring announcer Brandi Reed in 2013. The couple have a child together.

Now known as Brandi Rhodes, she has spoken frankly about her decision to depart AEW, where she fulfilled numerous roles, including being Chief Brand Officer.

"I did not plan to continue to wrestle beyond 40, and I'm now 40. Wrapping up the wrestling a year early [was] not so hard, because I already had that in mind.

"[The] Chief Brand Officer thing was something that I thought I could do for a really long time, so that was the part that was kind of like, 'Man, this stings.' Because that work was so great to be able to do."

Having been a representative of the women’s division, Brandi Rhodes faced plenty of criticism, which clearly provoked some frustration.

"I really did just want to be somebody who was there for the women to kind of run things by.

"Sometimes it's tough to talk to men about what our issues are, or what we're trying to do. So I kind of wanted to be there to bridge the gap, and I think in the beginning things worked out really well with that. And, you know, I don't know if they stayed [working]."

She added, "What was the most hurtful about it, to me, was not that people looked to me and said, 'Hey, do something about this, or 'Maybe this is your fault,' but that no one stood up and said that it's not.

"There were plenty of people that I felt like could have stepped in and said, 'Hey, you guys, this is a joint effort. This is not all on this one person.'

"But that never was done, and never was said. To this day, I feel like this is the first time I'm talking about that. That was hurtful."

What Is Cody Rhodes Theme Song

Cody Rhodes has used ‘Kingdom’ by Downstaits as his theme song since 2016.

Zack Call, the band’s lead singer, pitched the song to Rhodes a few years ago, when the band were just getting by on the reputation they had built from other WWE anthems.

With Rhodes rebuilding his image, a new theme song was a necessity, and Downstaits wrote ‘Kingdom’ for this exact purpose.

Call explained how his band landed such a high-profile deal.

"Cody, right when he broke away, he put out this Twitter thing — and we were kind of a sinking ship to be honest and Ryder kind of gave us a lifeline [as a band in general].

"We had some success and we gained a little bit of notoriety just from being involved with WWE, but we hadn’t put an album out since 2013 and we weren’t really thinking about writing.

"I’m an administrator at a school, Sean’s a lawyer, and my brother runs a body shop. We got old and living in a van or a tour bus is kind of tough, especially on older guys or guys with family like my brother. I just was on Twitter and I was in my feels a little bit like ‘Dude, we’re not done yet.’

"We just got on SmackDown two weeks ago with the Radio cover, which we did in a bedroom. Cody put out a tweet saying what entrance music should I use on the indies and he said something about throne by Bring Me The Horizon. I was wearing that album out at the time."

Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns

WrestleMania 40 takes place in Philadelphia across 6th and 7th April 2024. Cody Rhodes will be fighting in the two headline bouts.

First, he is forming a tag team with Seth Rollins to take on Roman Reigns and The Rock before he fights Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Much has been made of WrestleMania 40 plans changing. Speaking on ‘The MMA Hour’ podcast promoting the event, Rhodes was level-headed about the tweaks.

"I just wanted to be quiet. In all the noise, I wanted to be quiet. It might be arrogance, and it might be me being naïve; at that point, I felt like, ‘No, I’ve done everything.’ I kept thinking something good is going to happen from this terrible situation.

"Something good is going to come of it. I talked to Diamond Dallas Page, and he said, ‘No matter what happens, it will be the best thing that has happened to you.’

"When you’re a pessimistic like I am, and he’s the most positive human being on the planet, you kind of want to be like, ‘Stop.’ He wasn’t wrong.

"Imagine had I not been in the WrestleMania 40 main event. The fire would still be burning. It would be completely out of control at this point.

"We didn’t have to do that because Hunter heard it. He heard what was going on. That was something that was so loud, he had to hear it, and I was lucky to be in that spot."

How Tall Is Cody Rhodes?

Cody Rhodes stands at 1.85 metres tall. He’s a few centimetres shorter than Roman Reigns and The Rock. He is the same height as Seth Rollins.
