Leeds are on the verge of completing a deal for Feyenoord’s Crysencio Summerville, with The Athletic journalist Phil Hay confirming the latest Leeds United transfer news.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay reported that Leeds are signing Summerville with the intention of giving him time to adapt to English football in the academy.

The 18-year-old is touted as one of the most talented youngsters in European football and Leeds have agreed a £1 million deal to bring Summerville to Elland Road.

Summerville spent the 2019/20 season out on loan at Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag but a move to the Premier League looks likely before the transfer window closes.

Based on his performances last season, Summerville could join up with the under-23s for the rest of the current campaign though many believe he is capable of featuring for the senior side.

Leeds fans are excited at what the future holds, with one supporter even claiming that Summerville “will be better than [Raheem] Sterling”. While that may be a tad far-fetched, Summerville ticks all the right boxes for a successful professional career.

The Whites fell short in their opening Premier League game of the season but Leeds showed enough quality in that defeat to Liverpool to suggest that Bielsa’s men have what it takes to avoid relegation.

Marcelo Bielsa Testing Water For Dimitri Payet

The Leeds manager has been in contact with Marseille star Dimitri Payet regarding a move to Elland Road before the end of the summer transfer window.

According to Le10Sport, Bielsa has been in touch with Payet to see whether the Marseille man fancied a return to English football. Reports state that the former West Ham United star was tempted but he is more than happy in the south of France.

The 33-year-old is under contract at Marseille until June 2024 – the Frenchman could end his career at the club if he sees out the remainder of that deal.

Bielsa has contracted a number of potential Leeds transfers targets in recent weeks and it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see the Whites make another signing or two before the end of the transfer window.

Leeds Showing ‘Serious’ Interest In Mounir Chouiar

According to the latest Leeds United transfer rumours from France, Marcelo Bielsa’s men are looking to bring Mounir Chouiar to Elland Road before the transfer window slams shut.

The Dijon man was left out of his team’s squad for the Ligue 1 clash with Brest this weekend amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Leeds, Wolves and Arsenal.

Valued at around £16 million, L’Equipe have claimed that Chouiar will leave his current club if a potential buyer can meet that figure before the end of the summer window.
