Brazil are in the mix for this summer’s World Cup according to the sports betting markets, but the most successful country in World Cup history aren’t quite up with the favourites.

After their heartbreak in a home World Cup 12 years ago, Brazil have suffered disappointing quarter-final exits in Russia and Qatar. The squad for this summer’s tournament doesn’t look to be on the same level as England, Spain, and France.

Drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Scotland and Haiti, Brazil should be reaching the knockout stages of this summer's competition and from there, who knows...

What is the average salary for Brazil players?

The average weekly salary for Brazil’s World Cup squad is between £90,000 and £100,000. This is one of the highest averages at the 2026 World Cup.

Eight of Brazil’s 26 play for Brazilian clubs, where salaries are generally lower than in Europe’s top leagues. There are also several players on mega contracts at the world’s biggest clubs, including Vinicius Jr., Casemiro, and Marquinhos.

Who are the top earning players for Brazil?

Vinicius and Casemiro are Brazil’s highest-earning players. Vinicius is reportedly on £335,000 per week at Real Madrid, while Casemiro’s contract at Manchester United (which expires at the end of June) is for £300,000 per week.

The other high earners include Fabinho, Marquinhos, and Alisson. Fabinho’s move to the Saudi Pro League resulted in a massive contract. Marquinhos and Alisson, meanwhile, are on hefty deals at PSG and Liverpool, respectively.

How much does the Brazil manager earn?

Carlo Ancelotti is on an annual salary of approximately £9 million. The Italian is the highest-paid national team coach in the world.

Winner of five Champions Leagues in his managerial career, Ancelotti is no stranger to managing big egos, having enjoyed spells in charge of PSG, Milan, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid.
