The 2026 Miami Open begins on March 17 and runs until March 29. Jakub Menšík and Aryna Sabalenka are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s draws, respectively.

Following Indian Wells, the second event of the Sunshine Swing is prestigious on the ATP and WTA Tours.

Andre Agassi and Novak Djokovic are the most successful men in the history of the tournament with six wins apiece, while Serena Williams won eight titles in Miami.

Miami Open Prediction: Men's Singles

Novak Djokovic, Holger Rune, and Tallon Griekspoor have all withdrawn from the 2026 Miami Open. Djokovic’s absence eases one concern for Indian Wells champion Jannik Sinner, as he aims to become the first man to complete the Sunshine Double since Roger Federer in 2017.

Sinner had the relative luxury of winning a marquee event without facing Carlos Alcaraz, who lost the semi-final to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. Medvedev was then dispatched by Sinner in straight sets on Sunday.

The way Medvedev cruised to the final, including a win over Cam Norrie, makes him a name to keep an eye on here. Jack Draper also came back from a set down to beat Djokovic after a disappointing showing in Dubai.

It’s notable that Jakub Menšík beat Sinner earlier this year and won this event 12 months ago. He also claimed a title in Auckland in January. The young Czech is a player to consider if you’re not interested in backing Alcaraz or Sinner at their short odds.

Sinner is once again the man to beat after Alcaraz’s uncharacteristic loss to Medvedev. The chance to make history should make the Italian even more fiercely motivated than usual.

Best bet(s): Jannik Sinner, Jakub Menšík

Miami Open Prediction: Women’s Singles

Aryna Sabalenka is the tennis betting favourite for glory in Miami after her three-set triumph over Elena Rybakina at Indian Wells. Withdrawals have been part of the story in the build-up to this tournament, with Emma Navarro, Karolína Plíšková, and Barbora Krejčíková among the players to pull out.

Sabalenka is the defending champion and looking to join the illustrious list of players to have completed the Sunshine Double, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished since Iga Świątek in 2022.

With three final appearances and two titles from her three events in 2026, there’s no question Sabalenka is the woman to beat. She’s been incredibly formidable and has a favourable record against probable quarter-final opponent Elina Svitolina.

Elsewhere in the draw, Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula are once again on a collision course, with Rybakina in the ascendancy of late. Victoria Mboko is a player to watch in the fourth quarter of the draw, which keeps her away from Sabalenka until a potential final matchup.

Best bet(s): Aryna Sabalanka, Victoria Mboko
