Fingle Bridge
FINGLE BRIDGE went 3-3 over hurdles last season but has rather struggled with his jumping over fences this term. The switch back to the smaller obstacles seems likely to suit and he gets the verdict over a similar type in Junker d'Allier, who looks on a handy mark based on last season's hurdles form. Believitanducan can complete the placings.

Went 3-3 over hurdles last season, including a listed novice. Best of the rest behind Lulamba on Exeter chase debut/reappearance and came home alone at Uttoxeter next time. Held back by jumping when beaten at Ayr since but remains with potential reverted to hurdling for handicap debut.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosAyr2m 110yHeavy (Soft in places)Chase3/5Uttoxeter2m 4fHeavy (Soft in places)Chase1/2Exeter2m 1f 109yGood to Soft (Good in places)Chase2/5Exeter2m 161yGood to Soft (Soft in places)Hurdle1/6Market Rasen2m 2f 140yGood to Soft (Soft in places)Hurdle1/8- 3PhantomofthepointsJ: Rian CorcoranT: David Pipe874-3F4Age 84/14/17/2

Useful hurdler who ran a cracker when again finishing third in valuable stayers' handicap here on reappearance/first start since wind surgery. Fell on chase debut next time (Fingle Bridge was sole rival) and not quite at best back hurdling when fourth at Haydock (24.3f) 3 weeks ago.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosHaydock Park3m 58yGood to SoftHurdle4/10Uttoxeter2m 4fHeavy (Soft in places)ChaseF/2Haydock Park3m 58yGood to Soft (Soft in places)Hurdle3/17Ayr2m 5f 91yGood to SoftHurdle4/10Uttoxeter2m 7f 70yGood to SoftHurdle7/17- 6BelievitanducanJ: Tom BellamyT: Alan King161-216Age 55/15/19/2

Gained third win of his short hurdling career at Plumpton (20.5f, soft) in December. Won the EBF Final at Sandown in March 2024 but hasn't progressed as might have been expected since. Didn't look a natural sent chasing this autumn and again jumped sketchily back hurdling at Newbury in December. Multiple novice hurdle winner last term and no great surprise that he returns to this sphere having disappointed in a handicap chase on third try over fences at Ayr last month. This will be his first run in a handicap over hurdles and he has to enter calculations.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosAyr2m 4f 110ySoft (Good to Soft in places)Chase5/9Carlisle1m 7f 207ySoft (Heavy in places)Chase3/5Uttoxeter1m 7f 214yGood to SoftChase4/5Perth2m 47yGood to Soft (Good in places)Hurdle1/9Huntingdon2m 3f 137yGood to SoftHurdle4/6- 4Luttrell LadJ: Cameron IlesT: Tom Lacey-442514Age 109/111/110/1

Seen to advantage when resuming winning ways at Exeter (18.5f, soft) in November but seemed caught out by a rise in the weights when fourth of 10 against fellow veterans at Sandown (19.8f, good to soft) 35 days ago. Ex-Irish gelding made winning start for Dan Skelton at Newton Abbot handicap hurdle in September and held form well next 3 starts, better than ever back over fences when third at Doncaster in December. Perhaps unsuited by conditions last time and he's respected back hurdling.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosKempton Park3mGoodChase4/7Doncaster2m 7f 214yGood to Soft (Soft in places)Chase3/7Cheltenham2m 7f 208ySoft (Heavy in places)Hurdle2/8Cheltenham2m 7f 208yGood (Good to Soft in places)Hurdle6/17Newton Abbot2m 5f 122yGood to Soft (Soft in places)Hurdle1/5- 1Last KingdomJ: Donagh MeylerT: Faye Bramley-227148Age 520/120/122/1

Won at Listowel in September and posted another good effort when in frame at Fairyhouse when next seen 2 months later. Unable to sustain effort from poor position at Leopardstown over Christmas.
