To put it simply, Beth Mead is one of the best footballers in the world.

Becoming a national hero for her starring role in the Lionesses’ Euro 2022 win, Mead has been an irrepressible force in football betting for the last few years, accumulating individual accolades and records for both her club and international play.

Often a next goal scorer favourite in live betting, the Whitby native is a relentless scorer and smart creative player, accumulating goals and assists at an almost unprecedented rate.

In 2021-22, she broke an England record previously held by Jimmy Greaves, and she ranks among the most prolific WSL players of all-time in both categories.

Mead has cemented her status alongside the all-time Lioness greats. A Ballon d’Or runner-up and the 2022 World Soccer World Player of the Year, the Arsenal forward continues to excel when fit. Only turning 30 in 2025, Mead still has several years left at the top of her game.

Let’s learn a bit more about the England star, starting with Beth Mead net worth.

How Much Is Beth Mead Worth?

Towards the end of last year, it was widely reported that Beth Mead’s net worth is around £420,000.

Despite her high profile and being among the world’s best players, Mead’s net worth is relatively modest by football standards.

Her financial situation speaks to the continued chasm between the money in the women’s game and the men’s game.

Beth Mead Salary & Endorsements

Reports of Mead’s Arsenal wage vary. Some claim she earns £25,000 per week. Others say that number is an annual figure.

As a Nike athlete, though, Mead will also pocket a healthy sum from her work with the American sportswear giants.

Mead has also worked with Elle UK and McDonald’s. The success at the Euros in 2022 enhanced Mead’s marketability in the UK, helping open other revenue streams alongside her football salary.

Who Is Beth Mead's Partner?

Beth Mead is in a relationship with Arsenal teammate Vivianne Miedema. She was previously with another Dutch international and former Gunner Daniëlle van de Donk.

Mead and Miedema made their relationship public soon after England’s Euros win in 2022. In an interview with the Times, Mead laughed off comparisons to the Beckhams.

The pair have regularly shared photos together on social media, often jetting off for holidays. They have also attended some formal events as a couple, including the FIFA Football Awards.

Beth Mead Injury News

Beth Mead suffered an ACL injury in November 2022. Ruled out for the remainder of Arsenal’s season and missing the Finalissima, Mead’s World Cup status was immediately thrown into doubt.

England manager Sarina Wiegman has said Mead is not in her plans for the tournament at this moment, and faces a World Cup campaign without the player who lit up Euro 2022.

Timing-wise for an injury of this nature, Mead is up against it.

The recovery from ACL injuries has improved considerably in recent years, but being fit for a summer World Cup after suffering the injury in November is a huge ask.

Mead is well aware of the task she faces to be fit. An interview with The Telegraph in April 2023 was revealing of Mead’s mindset.

“I sat down with Sarina a couple of weeks ago. She pulled me in with the doctor from England and I was like, ‘Oh, no, she’s bringing the doc in’. That’s never going to be a good chat, is it?

“She was really transparent. As a player, with the things I have achieved and done for England, she obviously wants me there.

“But Sarina also wanted to remind me that, unless I want to retire after this World Cup, I can still play for England for a lot more years.

“We were on the same page. My motivation in my rehab is to get as close to going to the World Cup as I possibly can.

“It gives me a target. That is still my target. I put that across to her and she was happy with that.

“I’m doing really well. I’m going to continue working hard and she will revisit it in May. That’s when a decision will be made.”

Some players might have been taken aback by Wiegman saying Mead needed a ‘miracle’ to be fit for the tournament. Mead was not.

“I understand and appreciate that. Her comments were made to keep the pressure off. It’s not given me a solid no, but she hasn’t said yes either.

“She is preparing for a World Cup without me, but I could still be picked. Miracles do happen. I’ve certainly not given up. She has not given up on me going either. Not yet.

“I’ve been given a glimmer of hope. I’m a realistic person. I know it’s going to be extremely hard. But you give me a glimmer of hope and I will take it. It has given me something to work towards.”

Mead was hurt by being left out of the Olympics squad in 2021, but the way that was handled made her appreciate Wiegman’s honesty.

Losing her Mum

June Mead, Beth’s mum, passed away in January 2023 after a battle with ovarian cancer.

June was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, with Beth enjoying many of the highlights of her career while her mum was fighting the illness.

After her mum’s death, Beth released the following statement on Twitter.

“Thought long and hard about what to write but there will never be any words that will do justice.

“At 1am on the 7th of Jan, our beautiful, kind, funny Mum & Wife passed away after a long & brave battle against Ovarian Cancer.

“She was surrounded by myself, my brother & dad as she passed away peacefully. Our hearts are broken, there will be a piece missing forever but heaven has now gained a special angel.

“If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. I’m sad that you are gone, but I’m more grateful for the time we had together.

“Our family would appreciate some privacy during this difficult time. We love you lots, forever & always. RIP Mama.”

In November 2022, Beth Mead spoke about the importance of her mum and the rest of her family in her career.

"At the end of the day, I've just been playing football while she's been battling one of the hardest diseases that is known to anyone, so my biggest motivation and biggest moment [of the year] is just my mum, my mum in general.

"The strength that my mum off the pitch has given me - it's been a difficult year for my family and for her individually - so she has been incredible.

"It was amazing to get the trophies and celebrate in front of all the fans but for me I couldn't wait to get round the stadium to then get to my mum, dad and brother and cherish and share that moment with them.”

A close relationship with Wiegman has also helped Mead over the last couple of years.

“What people perhaps don’t know is her sister had the same cancer that killed mum. Unfortunately they have both passed away but it was her emotional understanding of where we were both at.

“She knew what I was going through because she had lived it too. We had a great relationship.

“At the start of every camp she would check in with me, see where I was at mentally, ask if there was anything I needed, anything the staff needed to be aware of. They were small things, but it went a long way.”
