When Is Euro 2024?

The 2024 European Championships get underway on Friday 14th June 2024 and the final will take place on Sunday 14th July 2024.

It is undoubtedly the biggest football tournament of the summer, with sports betting punters taking a keen interest as 24 nations do battle to lift the trophy.

While qualification is currently ongoing, anticipation is certainly growing amongst football betting punters ahead of Euro 2024 and all roads lead to Germany.

We're only a matter of months away from the 2024 European Championship draw in Hamburg and supporters will be keeping a close eye on proceedings ahead of December's event.

Euro 2024 Qualified Teams

As tournament hosts, Germany have automatically qualified for the competition and the three-time European champions will be joined by 23 nations next summer.

The top two teams in each qualifying group will qualify while the final three slots will be decided by a series of play-off matches in March 2024.

How Will The Euro 2024 Group Stages Work?

The format of the European Championship changed ahead of the 2016 competition, giving teams a better chance of reaching the knockout stages of the tournament.

16 of the 24 teams competing at the finals will reach the next stage at Euro 2024, with the top two countries in each group booking their place in the next round. In addition, the four best-performing third placed nations will reach the last-16 phase.

It is worth remembering that Portugal finished third in the Euro 2016 group stages but still went on to win the tournament. Could we see another third-placed nation lift the trophy in 2024?
