No surprise to see the fitting of more severe headgear having gone in snatches when fourth in Class 5 handicap at Leicester last month, though hard to be confident he can snap a 2-year losing streak upped in grade.

Most progressive when landing hurdle hat-trick last season and has undergone a breathing operation since pulling up on chase debut (following 15 months off) in early-February. Reasonable to think he can do better (placed in points/out of a winning stayer chaser).

Back to his best when easily winning 2½m handicap chase at Lingfield on penultimate start for Olly Murphy and can be forgiven his latest effort when going off too hard in testing conditions. Looks the pace in the race and should at least be competitive for new yard.
