Remmooz
REMMOOZ was unraced at 2 yrs but made good strides last year and there could be more to come from this well-bred colt in the months ahead. He shades preference ahead of Bowmark, who represents last year's winning yard and may well start to fulfil his earlier promise having been gelded. La Botte failed to land a blow in the Lincoln but caught the eye in the trial for that race and merits respect, along with Bowmark's stablemate Chancellor, Group 2 winner Jonquil and the consistent Holloway Boy.

Debut winner for Sir Michael Stoute and improved to land the Greenham on first run for Andrew Balding last spring before going close in the French 2000 Guineas. Added a Goodwood Group 2 to his CV last summer and, though below par at Abu Dhabi earlier this year, he will be a big player if on-song.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosAbu Dhabi7f 210yFlat7/15Del Mar1mFlat9/13Keeneland1mFlat4/11Goodwood1mGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat1/6Goodwood7fGoodFlat5/10- 4(3)RemmoozJ: Callum RodriguezT: Owen Burrows114131-Age 47/27/210/3

Yet to put a foot wrong in his 6-race career, with his 2 defeats coming in the Jersey Stakes at the Royal meeting here last summer and in a big York handicap in August. Signed off 2025 with a listed success at Newbury (7f, good to soft) and he appeals as the type to kick on again this season.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosNewbury7fGood to Soft (Soft in places)Flat1/6York7f 192yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat3/17York7f 192yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat1/9Ascot7fGood to FirmFlat4/15Doncaster7f 6yGoodFlat1/16- 8(8)RashabarJ: James DoyleT: Brian Meehan442240-Age 411/211/26/1

Went close in a couple of French Group 1s following big-priced success in the Coventry at the Royal meeting here in 2024. Made the frame on several occasions last season and solid each-way chance if ready to roll following a 6-month absence.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosDel Mar1m 4fFlat14/14Longchamp1m 1f 153yVery softFlat4/8Deauville1m 1f 207ySoftFlat2/5Newbury1m 2fGood to FirmFlat2/5Ascot7f 213yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat4/7- 2(4)Holloway BoyJ: William BuickT: K. Smart and consistent type who got his head back in front when proving a neck too strong for the re-opposing Chancellor in a listed contest at Kempton (1m) in December. Has remained in good heart since, third in a Meydan Group 2 last time, and merits respect with William Buick again booked.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosMeydan1m 209yGoodFlat3/8Doha (qatar)7f 210yGood to FirmFlat2/9Meydan1m 209yGoodFlat3/6Meydan7f 210yGoodFlat5/10Kempton Park1mStandard / SlowFlat1/8- 5(2)BowmarkJ: Ryan MooreT: John & Thady Gosden1/2108-Age 413/213/26/1

Appeared to be going places when readily landing the odds in 1m York novice last spring, but failed to settle in the French Derby next time and his exuberance again got the better of him back on the Knavesmire in August. However, gelded since and it would be no surprise were he to get back on track.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosYork1m 177yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat8/8Chantilly1m 2f 97yGood to softFlat14/18York7f 192yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat1/5Newcastle1m 5yStandardFlat2/6Kempton Park1mStandard / SlowFlat1/13- 7(9)La BotteJ: Jamie SpencerT: Harry Eustace/142-40Age 47/18/115/2

Unlucky second in last year's Britannia at the Royal meeting and eye-catching return to action when fourth in the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton. Failed to make an impact in the Lincoln itself but conditions were perhaps against him (good to soft) and he remains of interest.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosDoncaster1mGood to Soft (Soft in places)Flat14/21Wolverhampton1m 142yStandardFlat4/12Ascot1mGood to FirmFlat2/30Newmarket (rowley)7fGoodFlat4/10Newcastle7f 14yStandardFlat1/12- 1(5)ChancellorJ: Robert HavlinT: John & Thady Gosden712-125Age 415/215/27/1

Returned a much-improved performer following gelding and breathing operations during the winter, winning twice (including listed race at Southwell) and latest fifth of 14 in a valuable Newcastle handicap (1m) was another solid effort. Winner of 1m Newmarket maiden on second of his 2 starts as a juvenile and shaped really well on first run since (missed whole of 2025) when third in a 7f conditions race at Thirsk. Return to this trip will be in his favour but a jolt of improvement is needed now upped in class.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosThirsk7fGoodFlat3/8Newmarket (rowley)1mGood to SoftFlat1/7Goodwood1mGood (Good to Soft in places)Flat5/10- 3(1)NaqeebJ: Ryan SextonT: Julie Camacho538281-Age 625/120/122/1

Smart performer who notched first success in pattern company when gamely seeing off 10 rivals in a listed race at Goodwood (1¼m, good) in September. Likely to pay his way again this year but entitled to come on for the run following 7 months off and, moreover, dropping to 1m may not be ideal.DateCourseDistGoingTypePosGoodwood1m 1f 197yGood to Soft (Soft in places)Flat1/11York1m 3f 188yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat8/10Goodwood1m 1f 197yGoodFlat2/18York1m 2f 56yGood to Firm (Good in places)Flat8/18Ascot1m 3f 211yGood to FirmFlat3/18
