Verdict
A 13lb rise for finishing second at Fairyhouse puts SINDAGAN well ahead of the opposition. Even if flattered, he makes plenty of appeal based on his old mark. Starborn Legend, who went close at the Curragh on his second start, is the one most likely to test the selection. If forgiven his last run, Punica Granatum should not be far away. Almeiyda also has prospects of reaching the money. [Alan Sweetman]

E29,000 Y, E330,000 Breeze Up purchase; had a run in a barrier trial but still looked a bit raw when sixth in an 18-runner contest at the Curragh in early June; confirmed promise when a clear second behind an 82-rated rival in a 6f maiden on second start.- 4(9)SindaganJ: Ben CoenT: J P Murtagh34-232Weight 9st 8lbsAge 315/8

Showed promise in making the frame in two starts last autumn; placed in three 7f maidens this term; beaten favourite when second at Naas on seasonal debut; eased up late for third at Gowran; rated 83 before chasing home the long odds-on Bamako Beach at Fairyhouse; 13lb rise to 96 may flatter him; obvious chance all the same.- 12(10)Punica GranatumJ: Shane FoleyT: Mrs J Harrington420-20Weight 9st 3lbsAge 310/3

Showed promise in 7f maidens at the Curragh and Gowran on her first two starts; faced a tough task in the Goffs Million; strong form when a short head second to subsequent Sandringham winner Green Carrera in a 1m handicap at the Curragh on seasonal debut; a long way below that form over 1m1f at the same venue last time.- 9(12)AlmeiydaJ: Chris HayesT: D K Weld04-42Weight 9st 3lbsAge 35/16/111/2

Fair fourth over 1m at Leopardstown on the second of two starts at two; appeared not to see out the extended 1m1f at Gowran on return; better when going close over an extended 7f at Roscommon; should be able to win an average maiden; tough task here against Sindagan, a high-rated gelding in the same colours.- 7(7)Uncle GoalieJ: Luke McateerT: Rory Devine4Weight 9st 8lbsAge 311/1
