Tribal Queen

Charlie Appleby saddles a couple of well-bred fillies in TRIBAL QUEEN and Fashion’s Fancy, who both look interesting stepping up in grade. The former finished behind her stablemate at Haydock in May but was entitled to improve for that initial experience and duly did so in spades at Kempton next time. She can go on progressing and receives the vote to emulate her half-sister Spirited Style by making a successful start at listed level. Revoir is knocking firmly on the door and is a big theat.

Without a win since her debut success at Nottingham but ran a cracker when ½-length second in an above-average listed race at Haydock on reappearance. Beaten only by one to who she conceded first run in refitted cheekpieces at Pontefract (1½m) since and expected to be bang there again.

Half-sister to useful 1¼m-1½m winner Spirited Style (won this race last year) and confirmed her debut promise behind stablemate Fashion's Fancy when making all in good style in 11f maiden at Kempton last month, drawing clear final 1f. Smart prospect.

Night of Thunder filly who built on her debut promise with success in 6-runner novice at Haydock (1¼m, good to soft) in May. From an excellent family and open to further improvement up in grade.

Well-bred Sea The Stars filly who improved again when recording a fourth career success in good style at Goodwood (1½m) on return. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on her first try at listed level at Pontefract subsequently but does have a bit to find with Revoir.

Made a winning debut in taking fashion at Southwell in November and confirmed that promise at the second attempt (unsuited by drop in trip in the Fred Darling) when 2¼ lengths third of 5 in the Musidora at York. Lacklustre effort in the Oaks since but drops in grade here.

Ended 2025 with back-to-back handicap wins over 1m and picked up where she left off when completing the hat-trick at Doncaster (1¼m) in April. Left with too much to do when third at Ascot in May and ran as well as entitled to behind Estrange in Pinnacle Stakes at Carlisle latest. Likely to stay 1½m.

Low-mileage 4-y-o who shaped well when fourth in a well-contested handicap at Doncaster (1½m) in September. Possibly found race coming too soon in a Group 3 later that month but left the impression she's ready for further when 4 lengths fifth of 9 in Pontefract listed event on reappearance.

Gained reward for consistency when landing a Kempton maiden last September. Has proven expensive to follow in handicaps subsequently and has more on her plate up in grade.

Versatile sort who was well clearly well primed when making a winning reappearance at Thirsk (1½m) in May. Found life tougher back at this level when behind a couple of these at Pontefract 27 days ago, though.
