The average salary for Panama’s World Cup squad is around £5,000 per week. Panama’s 26-man group is split across a variety of countries from Saudi Arabia to Turkey and from Ecuador to Mexico. 

Player salaries are generally highest in Europe’s top leagues, aside from a few exceptions in the Saudi Pro League and MLS. None of the Panama squad play in Europe’s top five leagues. 

Who are the top earning players for Panama?

Amir Murillo is on around £40,000 per week at Besiktas. He’s likely the highest-earning player in the Panama World Cup squad.

Orlando Mosquera might be playing in Saudi Arabia, but he’s reportedly on less than £10,000 per week. Norwich’s José Córdoba is on more than Mosquera, while José Luis Rodríguez is also earning more than Mosquera. 

How much does the Panama manager earn?

Panama manager Thomas Christiansen is on around £600,000 per year as manager of Panama. Christiansen has been in charge of Panama since 2020, and has taken the country to runners-up placings at the 2023 Gold Cup and the 2025 Nations League.

Starting his managerial career with AEK Larnaca, Christiansen had short spells in charge of Leeds United, APOEL, and Union Saint-Gilloise.
