Premier League Top Scorer Betting Tips & Predictions (2024/25)

There has yet to be a single attempt on goal, nor a goalkeeper troubled, but already Erling Haaland is a short-priced favourite in the top scorer Premier League odds.

This is to be expected, of course. Indeed, the only surprise is there is still some value to be found in backing the Striking Viking, that is until he bangs a couple in against Chelsea on the opening day, before pummelling Ipswich into submission at the Etihad a week later.

Premier League Golden Boot Odds

  • Erling Haaland - 4/6
  • Mohamed Salah - 10/1
  • Alexander Isak - 14/1
  • Ollie Watkins - 16/1
  • Darwin Nunez - 20/1
  • Cole Palmer - 20/1
  • Ivan Toney - 20/1
  • Bar - 22/1

Such is the Norwegian’s consistent ruthlessness in front of goal it is only right to presume that he will be very much in the reckoning to win a third consecutive Golden Boot come May.

Just so long as he remains fit for the most part. And so long as nothing crazy occurs in the meantime, such as an arbitrary new law being introduced that bans 6ft 4 blondes from entering penalty areas.

How could we possibly think otherwise given the evidence to date?

In his debut season in the English top-flight, Haaland smashed all manner of records, firing 36 goals in 35 league appearances, a lofty tally that included four hat-tricks.

As Manchester City once again dominated the footballing landscape their recently procured super-weapon contributed a goal involvement every 63 minutes.

And then came his second campaign, the one that had everyone gossiping that he was a little out of sorts.

No forward missed more big chances in 2023/24 (34) than Haaland so perhaps that gave the claim some legitimacy. Yet he still out-fired all of his peers by a healthy margin of five. He still averaged a shot on target every 11.8 touches.

With a huge slice of under-statement it can be said that Haaland is the man to beat this term in the goal-scoring stakes, and furthermore he will take some beating.

Bet Calculator

That is not to say however that the formidable goal-machine cannot be surpassed. Every Premier League front-man is capable of stringing together nine months of prolificacy and the same applies to wingers and number 10s on rarer occasions.

Should the individual in question also happen to play for a successful team then all the better.

If any of the following plethora of attacking talent enjoys a memorable season expect them to be firmly in the frame, pushing Haaland all the way, goal for goal.

Christopher Nkunku (Chelsea)

The temptation when focusing on the outright markets in the football betting is to believe that history will repeat itself. So it is that Cole Palmer is the first name that comes to mind when potential challengers to Haaland are considered.

After all, the 22-year-old proved to be a revelation last term, scoring 22 and assisting 11 times in a chaotic Chelsea set-up. His performances rightfully secured him the Premier League Young Player of the Season merit.

Yet though Palmer will likely impress again on a weekly basis, we should be wary of the possibility that last season was an anomaly as regards to his prolificacy, as the England star compensated for a Blues side that misfired elsewhere.

https://www.888sport.com/blog/football-prediction

Nicolas Jackson was the guiltiest of culprits when it came to repeatedly spurning opportunities, missing 24 big chances all told and devoid of confidence for the first half of the campaign. Of the 13 players who scored 14 or more top-flight goals in 2023/24, Jackson had the worst goals to minutes ratio.

As the Blues stumbled from one crisis to another, what they desperately needed was a reliable finisher, and frustratingly they possessed one in Nkunku, bought that summer from RB Leipzig for £52m. Alas, injuries resulted in the French international making only two starts all season.

Now fit and firing again, and moreover playing for a new manager, this is very much a clean slate of a campaign for the versatile attacker, and what’s more, he has a pedigree for goals. Nkunku converted 47 in 119 Bundesliga appearances.

Alexander Isak (Newcastle)

There is talk of the Magpies bringing in a striker this window to help take some of the goal-scoring onus off their deadly Swede. Isak will no doubt respond to the increased competition for the forward’s jersey in the same manner he has to date – by finding the back of the net with impressive regularity.

The 24-year-old notched 21 times last season, a career-best haul, and such a welter of goals was greatly needed too, with Newcastle elsewhere ravaged by injuries and struggling to hit the heights of 2022/23.

Ultimately, he fired 24.7% of his team’s total tally.

Can he go one better this time out, improving on a ratio that saw him on the score-sheet every 108 minutes? If the Newcastle of two years ago turns up again, who knows?

Mo Salah (Liverpool)

By the Egyptian’s remarkable standards, last term was something of a bust, taking on 90 shots overall but ‘only’ converting 18 times. It was his lowest tally since joining the Reds in 2017.

Which in itself illustrates just how consistently lethal Salah has been at Anfield and beyond for several seasons now, winning the Premier League Golden Boot on three occasions, and breaking records into the bargain.

Salah has scored more goals than any other African footballer in Premier League history. He’s scored more left-footed goals than anyone else. It’s worth noting too that he has notched on the opening day for six seasons running. Ipswich beware on August 17th.

Ivan Toney (TBD)

After seeing out a lengthy ban last season, Toney seemed to settle immediately back into a goal-scoring groove, bagging four in five on his return for Brentford.

There followed however a drought that lasted until his campaign’s end, amounting to 999 minutes – or 16-and-a-half hours – of missed chances, blazed efforts high and wide, or, most worryingly, times when the ball dropped kindly but he was nowhere to be seen.

Don’t think for one second tough that such a sustained lean spell has put off potential suitors. With the Bees consigned to losing a striker who has fired 36 top-flight goals for them, Spurs are reportedly very keen, as too are Manchester United.

A move to a top six club, and a fresh start, could see the 28-year-old ignite again.

The 10 Fastest Players In La Liga This Season

Who are the quickest players in Spanish football? We look at these 10 La Liga speedsters...

    • Spain is blessed with many speed demons who easily outstrip opponents for pace

    • The quickest is only fractionally slower than a professional sprinter

    • Blink and you’ll miss this explosive ten, the fastest in La Liga

Fastest Players In La Liga 2025

The fastest players in La Liga are some of the quickest in world football. Don’t be fooled by Spanish football’s reputation for a slower pace of play.

Yes, it’s not quite as breakneck as the Premier League or Bundesliga, but there are still some true speedsters featuring in La Liga betting every week.

While the teams at the top of La Liga odds are predictable each year, there has been considerable player turnover since the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Fresh faces and young legs are powering both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

There are numerous exciting talents throughout the Spanish topflight, too. Here are the fastest La Liga players in 2024-25...

    Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe would be in the 10 fastest footballers whichever league he opted to join in the summer of 2024.

Joining Vinicis, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham in an ultra-talented front four, Mbappe took some time to adapt to Galactico life, but he's found his form and will inevitably lead Los Blancos to plenty of silverware in the years to come.

    Lamine Yamal

The youngest goal scorer in La Liga history doesn't turn 18 until after the 2024/25 season. Lamine Yamal isn't the fastest player in La Liga, but he's quick enough to make it into our top 10.

Already one of the best players in the world, Yamal's potential is scary. Pace is only part of his game, as his speed is paired with supreme technical ability, great vision, and a cool head in front of goal.

    Nico Williams

Operating on the opposite flank from Yamal at Euro 2024, Nico Williams was the tournament's breakout performer. Ranking in the 97th percentile in successful take-ons, Williams is almost impossible to stop with the ball at his face.

His pace also makes him a threat off-ball, as illustrated by ranking in the 93rd percentile in progressive passes received. It's no surprise Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona tried to sign the Athletic Club winger after the Euros.

    Endrick

There's plenty of Real Madrid representation on this list. Endrick is the latest Bernabeu star to feature, boasting sprint speeds above 36 kph.

The Brazilian has already scored multiple goals for his national team, though he's still a long way shy of his 20th birthday. He's yet to become a regular starter for Real Madrid, but that will come with time.

    Dodi Lukebakio

Signed by Sevilla from Hertha Berlin in 2023, Dodi Lukebakio did not enjoy the best start to his La Liga career.

The Belgian’s statistical profile only shows him to be above average when it comes to taking players on – the end product has been lacking, with just three goal contributions in 8.2 90s.

After 17 goal contributions for Hertha last term, there will be hope that Lukebakio can get back on track, even if his numbers were inflated by penalty-taking duties.

    Thierry Correira

Right-back Thierry Correira is into his fifth season as a regular starter for Valencia. Posting excellent defensive metrics across the board, Correira uses his pace well.

FB Reference names Nelson Semedo and Tyrick Mitchell as two comparisons for Correira. He is a solid full-back for a Valencia team looking settled in mid-table.

    Marvin Park

Marvin Park has been used on the right wing and as a right-back by Las Palmas. He has primarily come off the bench, though he will hope to add to his nine league starts.

After starting just five times for Las Palmas in the Segunda Division a couple of years ago, he has progressed to become a regular with the club.

    Inaki Williams

He might be deep into his career, but Inaki Williams remains one of the quickest players in La Liga.

Unlike so many other speeders, Williams has been very durable throughout his career. The hamstrings have held up, and his pace is yet to markedly decline.

With over 450 appearances for Athletic already, Williams could well finish in the top five if he stays fit.

There are no signs of his production dropping off either - he remains a reliable finisher.

    Andrei Ratiu

Romanian international Andrei Ratiu joined Rayo Vallecanco from Huesca a couple of years ago.

Ratiu has long been among the fastest full backs in the sport, and even with his team struggling, he has posted some impressive attacking numbers.

In the 84th percentile in progressive carries, Ratiu is a willing attacker and unafraid of a tackle. His decision-making could improve in the final third, but at 25 years old, there’s time to work on that.

    Vinicius Jr.

Starring for one of the most successful football clubs in the world, Vinicius Jr. is arguably the fastest footballer on the planet.

While the bar is very high to earn inclusion in our all-time La Liga XI, Vinicius is on a trajectory that could at least get him into the conversation.

He’s a two-time league champion, a Champions League winner, and has 30-goal-a-season upside in the coming years. Still pre-peak, the sky really is the limit for Vinicius.

    Fastest La Liga Players 2023

    Jules Kounde

Signed by Barcelona from Sevilla at the start of 2022-23, Jules Kounde became a La Liga champion in his first campaign under Xavi.

Still only 24 years old, Kounde has been talked about as one of the world’s best central defenders for a few seasons, and looks set for a lengthy stint at the Camp Nou.

Kounde’s pace is a real asset in a team which so often dominates possession like Barcelona - one of the richest football clubs in the world.

His ability to cover for mistakes and make blistering recovery runs when the opponent counters is crucial for Barcelona in 2023-24 if they are to defend their title and go on a Champions League run.

    Nahuel Molina

Argentina international Nahuel Molina is comfortable playing anywhere down the right-hand side.

He has predominantly been a full-back since signing for Atletico Madrid during the 2022 summer, but has often proved to be a threat in the final third.

Molina started his career with Boca Juniors before a two-year stint in Italy with Udinese, and was part of the Argentina teams which won the 2021 Copa America and 2022 World Cup.

    Angel Correa

Even into his late twenties, Angel Correa remains one of the fastest players in La Liga. The Argentine was used primarily as a substitute last season, but he still found the net nine times for Atletico Madrid.

Among forwards, Correa places in the 89th percentile in progressive carries per match over the last 365 days. His 1.31 successful take ons sit in the 81st percentile.

Diego Simeone still prefers Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann in the starting line up, meaning Correa is waiting on an injury to get a string of starts.

    Eder Militao

Eder Militao is set to miss the majority of the 2023-24 season after suffering an ACL injury against Athletic Bilbao in August.

The Brazilian had become a regular at the heart of Real Madrid’s defence, starting 64 matches over the last two seasons, and delivering several impressive performances in the Champions League

Players recover far better from ACL injuries than they used to. Militao is unlikely to see much of a loss of pace upon his return – Real will be hoping he can get back to full match fitness before the end of the campaign.

    Rodrygo

Rodrygo had 17 goal contributions in La Liga last season, and will be looking to better that tally in 2023-24.

The 22-year-old is electric over short and long distances. He’s one of the most agile players in the game, capable of jinking past defenders at high speed.

It’s no surprise there’s a tonne of green on his FB Reference page.

Rodrygo has paired his one-on-one ability and pace with end product, making him a nightmare for opposition defences whether there’s space in behind or they’ve camped out in their own 18-yard box.

    Federico Valverde

Real Madrid have carefully planned their midfield of the future as they look to replace three of the greatest midfielders in La Liga history.

Federico Valverde is one part of that plan, alongside Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Used in a variety of roles, Valverde is a willing ball carrier and works hard out of possession. His flexibility is useful in this Real Madrid setup as they usher in the next generation around Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

    Marcos Llorente

Jack-of-all trades Marcos Llorente is beginning his age-28 season and shows no signs of slowing down.

The Atletico Madrid man remains among La Liga’s fastest players, which is an asset whether he’s charging from box-to-box or slotting in on the right-hand side.

Llorente is a hard-worker whatever role he’s put in. That versatility is always helpful for a manager, and makes him a great squad player for Atletico.

    Fran Garcia

After spending three seasons with Rayo Vallecano (one on loan, then two after a permanent deal), Fran Garcia returned to Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 after Los Blancos triggered his buy-back clause.

An energetic left-back, Garcia earned his first Spain call-up days after he re-signed with Real. He debuted for the Bernabeu outfit in the season opener against Athletic Bilbao.

    Ferland Mendy

Injuries have blighted Ferland Mendy’s time with Real Madrid since making the move from Lyon in 2019.

Mendy has made only 80 league starts across four seasons, and suffered another hamstring injury in preseason which has forced him to miss the opening weeks of 2023-24.

Now 28 years old, Real Madrid fans are still hoping they can see the best of Mendy at some stage. It has been a frustrating period for him, however, and Garcia’s return to the club creates competition for minutes at left-back.

    Vinicius Jr

Bound to be a sports betting favourite for the Ballon d’Or in years to come, Vinicius Jr has been a sensation for Real Madrid over the last couple of seasons.

Vinicius’ pace played a major role in Real Madrid’s 2021-22 Champions League win, tormenting each defence they faced.

Despite only turning 23 in July, the Brazilian is already among the world’s best players. The coming years could well see Vinicius rival Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and others for the crown of ‘world’s best player’ in the post-Messi era.

    Fastest La Liga Players 2022

La Liga is home to two of the most successful clubs in world football. Spanish football has been dominant in the club and international game over the last 15 years.

Beyond the big three, though, La Liga has plenty to offer. There is a depth of talent despite vast financial disparity between the big two and the rest.

It has been touch-and-go with the Premier League when weighing up the best leagues in Europe

A specific element of La Liga is our focus here. Spanish football might be renowned for its technical prowess and a relatively slow pace of play, but it is the speedsters under the microscope.

These rankings are compiled using a mix of sprint speeds, the eye test and FIFA pace ratings.

    Samuel Chukwueze

While not the biggest name in football betting online, Samuel Chukwueze has been an important squad player for a competitive Villarreal team over the last couple of seasons.

The Nigerian has pace to burn, with a rating just shy of 90 in FIFA 2023, and has been in fine form in 2022-23, averaging a goal contribution in La Liga every 164.3 minutes.

Chukwueze’s biggest moment came with his last-gasp equaliser against Bayern Munich in the 2021-22 Champions League. Still only 23 years old, he has time on his side to establish himself as a star with Villarreal.

    Thierry Correira

Portuguese right-back Thierry Correira has a pace rating of 90 on FIFA 23. Correira has been a regular starter for Valencia this term, averaging 2.5 tackles and an interception per match.

He earned multiple caps with Portugal’s under-21s, but at 24 years old, he is yet to break into the senior squad.

Fouls have been an issue at times for Correira. His game is a work in progress at this stage, but that is hardly a surprise for a full-back with less than 100 senior appearances to his name.

    Raphinha

Leeds fans are well aware of the pace Barcelona winger Raphinha possesses. After a messy transfer saga, which seemed to be taking the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge, Raphinha ended up at the Camp Nou.

He immediately became one of the fastest La Liga players, backed up by a pace of 91 on FIFA.

After some early struggles playing under Xavi, he found his best form when club football resumed after the World Cup, with a run of eight goal involvements in nine starts.

    Ferland Mendy

Fitness issues have disrupted Ferland Mendy’s campaign, forcing Carlo Ancelotti to deploy Eduardo Camavinga at left-back.

Mendy, though, remains one of the fastest players in La Liga, which makes him an effective player at both ends of the pitch.

A willing ball carrier and pitch-stretching overlapper, Mendy’s sheer pace allows him to make hefty recovery runs. Very few wingers can beat him in a foot race.

    Ousmane Dembele

After what looked destined to be a transfer defined by injury and unfulfilled potential, Ousmane Dembele made a break through in the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.

Dembele has been considered one of the quickest players in world football since bursting onto the scene a few years ago.

Injuries haven’t made the Frenchman any less nimble. He has begun to live up to the hype which reached a crescendo during his campaign with Borussia Dortmund.

    Vinicius Jr

A foundational piece as Real Madrid topped La Liga odds in 2021-22, some might think this is a little low for the jet-paced Brazilian winger.

Vinicius Jr has blossomed into one of the best forwards on the planet, forming a prolific partnership with Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

FIFA 23 tabs Vinicius as the fastest player in La Liga with a 95 pace rating, which also makes him one of the quickest players in the world. Ask any defender challenged with marking him and they would certainly agree with that evaluation.

    Ruben Sobrino

Ruben Sobrino clocked a sprint speed north of 35 kilometres per hour in 2021-22, making him one of the fastest players in La Liga.

The 30-year-old isn’t exactly quick on FIFA, nor has he been scoring at an impressive rate this term, but the sprint speeds don’t lie.

Sobrino started out at the Real Madrid academy, but couldn’t make the first team. He had a brief stint and a couple of loans out from Manchester City before permanent spells with Alaves and Valencia prior to joining Cadiz in 2021.

    Joseph Aidoo

Central defenders often rank better than you might think for their top speeds.

Ghanian Joseph Aidoo falls into that category with the third-best sprint speed in La Liga in 2021-22 despite just a 75 pace rating on FIFA 23.

Aidoo has been at Celta since 2019, passing 100 appearances for the club, after spending a couple of seasons with Genk. He made the Ghana squad for the 2022 World Cup, but was an unused substitute in all three group fixtures.

    Alvaro Garcia

FIFA 23 awards just four La Liga players with a better pace rating than Alvaro Garcia.

He was, however, tied for the quickest sprint speed in the 2021-22 campaign. Garcia is into his thirties, but yet to markedly slow down.

The Rayo Vallecano left winger is on his way to matching his tally of 11 goal involvements from last season.

The Utrera native has been something of a journeyman throughout his career, with this spell at Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas being the longest period he has spent at one club.

    Inaki Williams

Owner of La Liga’s joint-top sprint speed last season, Inaki Williams has long been one of the quickest players in world football.

Evolving from primarily being a winger to playing most of his matches down the middle, Athletic staved off interest from wealthier clubs earlier in Williams’ career.

At 28, Williams seems to have peaked. His production is not what some envisaged for him, but he remains an important player for his club, and became a Ghana international in 2022 after reportedly rejecting previous approaches from the Black Stars.

    Fastest La Liga Players 2021

    Alejandro Gomez (Sevilla)

Awarded with a very respectable 90 for pace on FIFA, and an acceleration rating of 94, the lightning-quick Argentine breaks into our top ten on merit.

Bustling through the centre for Los Nervionenses – usually as an attacking midfielder, but sometimes as a second striker – Gomez’s assist stats may have dried up in Spain after previously breaking records for Atalanta, but he remains a potent and rapid threat.

Now a seasoned 34, can we expect him to drop off this list next year when age begins to have an inevitable impact?

    Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid)

Joint-eighth feels somewhat surprising for a winger who routinely whizzes down the Bernabeu left at a tremendous lick.

Still, a recorded best of 35.1 km/h will typically leave a full-back trailing and flailing and this we see often from the Brazilian speed demon since taking his game to a whole other level last season.

Seventeen goals and 13 assists in the league alone was a phenomenal return in 2021/22 for a player who had previously come attached with doubts, while his devastating partnership with Karim Benzema is just one reason why our La Liga odds have Real Madrid as hot favourites to win the title again.

    Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona)

It’s interesting to note that Dembele exactly ties with Vinicius in the speed stakes given that his wing-play is no longer so reliant on searing pace.

Since overcoming a string of serious injuries, the two-footed 25-year-old has exhibited a more complete skill-set, beating players via game-intelligence and clever movement, and the benefits of this were there for all to see last term with a resounding 13 assists for the Blaugrana.

In 2017, Dembele was the subject of one of the biggest La Liga transfers ever when Barca swooped for the eye-watering sum of €145m, taking the young prodigy from Dortmund, but a contract dispute temporarily leaves him a free agent.

Will the French star remain in Catalonia, or might the Premier League see close-at-hand this all-round talent with pace to burn?

    Johan Mojica (Elche)

A La Liga high of 35.2 km/h is testament to the Colombian left-back’s athleticism, not to mention it being a valuable asset should he ever lose possession or find himself out of position.

Mojica was one of Elche’s best and most consistent performers in 2021/22 and it frankly surprises that his career has never hit the heights.

A skilled full-back who can out-run a hare is a priceless commodity in the modern era.

    Sandro Ramirez (Huesca)

Technically-speaking, the former Everton flop is not a La Liga player at present, as Getafe deliberate on whether to take up their option to buy after loaning the 26-year-old from Huesca for all of last season.

Just three goals in 29 appearances hardly constitutes a prolific return even if Sandro is adept at darting into the channels and holding up play, both of which are useful attributes for a struggling club like Getafe.

Regardless, he is far more likely to miss his chances in the top-flight next term than to ply his trade in the second tier.

In summary, there is little danger of the 26-year-old striker ever breaking into our La Liga greatest XI but he sure can peg it.

    Rafa Mir (Sevilla)

The towering forward reached double figures for the third time in his career last season and played an integral part in Sevilla briefly threatening to claim a far-fetched title.

Add into the mix a hat-trick for Spain during last year’s Olympics and it all amounts to a welcome career spike for a striker who seemed forever destined to flit from club to club on loan, never disappointing, but also never really establishing himself.

A 35.3 km/h sprint clocked in early 2021 is proof too that the boy can zoom with the best of them.

    Aitor Ruibal Garcia (Real Betis)

The Green-and-Whites enjoyed a memorable campaign in 2021/22, finishing fifth under Manuel Pellegrini, and their jet-heeled winger played his part, even if more times than not his contribution came from the bench.

After enduring long periods out on loan, Aitor is finally starting to include end product to his whirlwind escapades down the right and he is all the better player for it.

    Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid)

Llorente’s eye for a pass and exquisite first touch has added a great deal to Atleti’s midfield since moving across the city from Real back in 2019.

All the same, given his eruptive turn of foot it’s astounding that Diego Simeone so rarely deploys his versatile star wide on the right as he occasionally does. All the better to utilise a burst of pace that’s been known to nudge 35.4 km/h.

By his usual standards, last season was fairly unremarkable for the Spanish international and the same can certainly be said of his team too, with the title-holders relinquishing their crown far too easily.

Our La Liga predictions tip better fortunes for the Colchoneros in the months to come and no doubt that will apply also to Llorente.

    Thierry Correia (Valencia)

The Portuguese right-back missed large chunks of last season through injury but what’s the betting he returns in 2022/23 as speedy and as industrious as ever?

Still to receive a full international cap, the former Sporting star tends to slip under the radar when plaudits are dished out and that feels unfair because when he’s in full flight Correia is a sight to behold.

A personal best of 35.6 km/h is fast enough to get the 23-year-old out of trouble defensively. When further advanced down the Mestalla right, it gets bums off seats.

    Inaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao)

The dribbling speedster can play anywhere across the front three but largely deployed centrally by Bilbao last term his explosive qualities again came to the fore, with Williams – not for the first time - finishing as the Lions’ top scorer.

Six assists thrown in for good measure further illustrate his worth.

His semi-ridiculous 35.7 km/h was taken way back in 2020 but anyone who has witnessed his lively showings this past year will know he’s still blink-and-you’ll-miss-him quick.

It’s not as if either, that injury has slowed down the Spaniard. Last April, Williams made headlines globally for breaking a La Liga record by playing in his 227th consecutive game.

Bukayo Saka Net Worth & Arsenal Career So Far

Becoming a professional footballer was always Bukayo Ayoyinka Saka’s destiny despite being a grade-A student at Greenford High School.

Joining Arsenal’s Hale End academy, aged seven, Saka impressed as he raced through the ranks, making his first-team debut at just 17 years of age.

    Per year €11,844,009.60 £10,137,868
    Per month €987,000 £844,821
    Per week €227,769 £194,958
    Per day €32,449 £27,774
    Per hour €1,352 £1,157
    Per minute €22 £18
Since you've been viewing this page, Bukayo Saka has earned

Unlike so many of his peers, there were no loans to gain experience at a struggling side short-priced in the Premier League relegation betting, or to a well-established Championship team. The Gunners knew they had a diamond. They knew he was ready.

And they were right too, because from that early introduction the lightning-quick winger soon gained a reputation as one of the biggest and brightest stars in Europe. An outstanding 21 league goals and 22 assists, all before his 21st birthday is testament to that.

It was a steep trajectory that has led to international recognition and praise from far and wide. It has also brought enormous wealth for the young talent.

How Much Is Bukayo Saka Worth?

With so much achieved in such a short period of time it’s easy to forget that Saka is still only 22 years of age. He's been linked to Manchester City in recent years but he remains a player playing at a level some way beyond his years.

This is relevant because, should he be fortunate enough to avoid serious injuries, the player can look forward to at least another decade spent at the top, increasing his current fortune several times over.

That is not to say of course that he is presently eking by.  Just prior to making his professional debut in 2018, the winger was on a slender £100 per week, enough to fill the tank of a supercar he could not yet dream of affording.

Four years later his club wages shot up to £33,000 a week plus bonuses, a sharp hike and a substantial amount but still far below the income of some of his team-mates.

That all changed however in May 2023 when the prodigious talent signed a lucrative new contract that brings in an eye-watering £10,139,983 per annum. That equates to just shy of £200,000 a week.

There are also commercial considerations to factor in, one example being a partnership struck in 2021 with New Balance that requires the England international to wear their boots on the pitch and promote their clothing range off it. This deal alone will have easily topped seven figures.

Other endorsements include the promoting of Amazon Prime, Call of Duty, and Beats, the company founded by music producer Dr Dre.

An estimation of his current net worth varies from source to source but can conservatively be pitched at north of £10m.

    Cars

Off-the-pitch, Saka is an unassuming figure and admirably down to earth. His weakness though is cars, with not a Ford Focus amongst them.

Boasting a collection of luxury vehicles that includes a white Lamborghini, a Mercedes-Benz GLC-class and a top-of-the-range Audi, his prized possession is a Ferrari 458 Spider valued at £151,000.

    Arsenal

Such a huge increase on his earnings is a reflection of how highly he is regarded in North London, a key figure in Arsenal’s attempts to defy the football odds and win their first Premier League crown for 20 years.

    Calculator for bets

Indeed, no player has done more to help elevate Mikel Arteta’s side into the title reckoning this season and last, accumulating numbers that put other wingers to shame. His series of brilliant displays have brought deserved garlands too.

In both 2020/21 and 2021/22, Saka was voted Arsenal’s Player of the Year. In 2022/23, he won the PFA Young Player of the Year.

    England

Saka’s missed penalty in England’s 2021 Euro final could have seriously hindered his international development and confidence but to his enormous credit he has bounced back, further establishing himself as a pivotal presence in Gareth Southgate’s team.

At Euro 2024, Saka showed his incredible resolve to step up and score in England's penalty shootout win over Switzerland. Mentally, he has grown up and matured into an elite figure in the squad and he could blossom into one of the leaders of the dressing room.

To date, 19 goal involvements in 40 appearances for the Three Lions is an impressive return while it matters too that he has struck up an intuitive understanding with Harry Kane.

All of which bodes well for the coming years and we should continue to see Bukayo Ayoyinka Saka thrive, despite having a nation’s hopes on his young shoulders.

Gareth Southgate Net Worth – How Much Is Former England Boss Worth?

    • Gareth Southgate was the manager of the England national team from 2016 to 2024

    • The Three Lions boss decided to stand down after defeat in the 2024 European Championship final

    • Southgate made 426 Premier League appearances during his playing career

The England manager job is an almost impossible task but Gareth Southgate did an excellent job during his eight-year tenure in charge of the Three Lions from 2016 to 2024.

He led England to two European Championship finals, as well as the 2018 World Cup semi-finals, defying football betting online odds in the process. But how much did Gareth Southgate earn as England manager and who will be his replacement?

Gareth Southgate has always been open and honest regarding the England manager role and he earned more than a pretty penny during his stint in the hotseat.

Without further ado, it's time to take an in-depth look at Gareth Southgate salary figures, how much Southgate is worth now and the former England manager’s life away from football.

    Gareth Southgate Salary

The former England manager role was criminally underpaid in comparison to other football manager positions, with Southgate earning just £3 million per year as Three Lions boss.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta earns £8 million per year at Arsenal while Erik ten Hag is earning £11 million per season at Manchester United.

While you could argue that managing an international team is easier than the daily demands of being a club manager, Southgate was required to keep tabs on every England player.

    Gareth Southgate Net Worth

According to 2024 figures, Gareth Southgate net worth is reported to be in the region of £15 million.

The former England manager has been involved in football for almost 30 years and Southgate has made a lucrative living from the sport, though his salary figures were some way beneath the top paid football managers.

Those names featuring in the next England manager odds and predictions will need to consider this when deciding whether to take the job or not...

In fact, Pep Guardiola earns an estimated £15 million per year, which has contributed to his vast net worth of around £30 million.

While betting odds suggested that Southgate wouldn’t make it at the top of football management, the former Middlesbrough defender silenced his critics and was a huge success during his time with England.

    Gareth Southgate Wife

Southgate met Alison Bird when she was working in a local clothing boutique. According to reports, Southgate was attracted to her but waited over two years to ask her out!

Alison was living with a boyfriend at the time but dumped him for Gareth, a trainee player at Crystal Palace.

In July 1997, Gareth and Alison tied the knot in Crawley. The wedding date was deliberately planned for in between the World Cup and European Championship campaigns.

Alison Southgate is four years older than Gareth but the age gap has not affected their relationship, with the couple celebrating 25 years of marriage.

The couple have two children together: Mia and Flynn. Mia Southgate is a student at Edinburgh University while Flynn Southgate is a keen cricketer.

    Gareth Southgate Penalty Miss

Southgate was a key figure for England at Euro 96, playing every minute of the tournament as the Three Lions advanced to the semi-finals stage.

Their semi-final with Germany finished in a stalemate and the match went to penalties, with that Southgate penalty miss now famous around the world.

Missing a spot-kick is never easy but the Euro 96 penalty miss haunted Southgate for years to come, though he did manage to rack up 57 England caps before his retirement.

England will be a popular pick in World Cup predictions in the coming years but Southgate will no longer have the opportunity to avenge that penalty miss by leading his country to silverware.

Who Did Gareth Southgate Play For?

While he never really had a major impact on betting odds on the biggest games, Southgate enjoyed a successful Premier League career as a player.

The England manager made 426 top flight appearances across 13 seasons in the league, with spells at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.

As a player he is perhaps best remembered for his impact at Aston Villa, helping the club to League Cup victory in 1995/96.

In 2004, Southgate became the first Middlesbrough captain in the club’s 128-year history to lift the League Cup after the north east side defeated Bolton Wanderers in the final.

    Who Does Gareth Southgate Support?

Like most football managers, Southgate has not pledged his allegiance to any specific club but we can assume he has a special place in his heart for Crystal Palace.

Southgate joined the Eagles youth system before going on to make his professional debut for the club and he was central to Palace’s promotion to the Premier League.

Over the past few years, Southgate has been pictured at football matches at almost every Premier League stadium – with a specific focus on supporting the England players.

    Gareth Southgate Book

The Gareth Southgate autobiography, ‘Anything Is Possible: Be Brave, Be Kind And Follow Your Dreams’ was released in November 2020.

The Southgate book was a huge hit amongst football fans and in the wider sports media, with national newspapers praising the autobiography upon its release.

Readers praise Southgate for his honest and open approach, with one stating that the book was more about life lessons and mental attitude than football.

Could we see another chapter in the Gareth Southgate book following his retirement from the men's national team? Only time will tell – let’s see what the future holds…

    Gareth Southgate Waistcoat

Fans who watched the 2018 World Cup will remember the Gareth Southgate waistcoat hype – fashion stores reported that sales of the clothing item went through the roof.

Marks & Spencer revealed that waistcoat sales had doubled due to Southgate’s attire and the spike was as a direct result of the England team’s success. Just imagine if the Three Lions had won the tournament…

RANKED: The Top 5 Leagues In European Football (2024/25)

The major European leagues have each had their share of time at the top.

Serie A was dominant in the 1990s. Barcelona and Real Madrid claimed much of the 2000s and 2010s. The Bundesliga produced Champions League finalists in three out of four seasons either side of the millennium, and we had an all-German final in 2013.

Premier League teams have been in the mix for continental honours throughout the 21st century, including providing three different winners in the last five seasons. In fact, over the last six Champions League finals, only six slots have been taken by non-Premier League sides.

    Top 5 Leagues In Europe:

The outcome of Champions League live betting obviously isn’t the be-all end-all when it comes to comparing leagues. It is about balancing quality with entertainment alongside competing on the continental stage.

Here are our rankings of the top five leagues in European football in 2024-25…

    Ligue 1

Ligue 1 is lucky to hold on to fifth spot here. UEFA rankings have fluctuated between Ligue 1 and Eredivisie in recent years.

The star power of PSG puts them among the betting favourites for Champions League glory still, even after losing Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, which is enough to elevate France’s top fight ahead of their Dutch counterparts.

If PSG disappoint in the Champions League again, they could well relinquish fifth place in these rankings to the Eredivisie.

Feyenoord’s run to the inaugural Conference League final means the Netherlands had produced a finalist more recently than France. PSV Eindhoven also delivered some impressive Champions League performances in the first round.

Nice have spent money with the hope of becoming a Champions League regular in the next few years. Outside of PSG, Ligue 1 scores well for competitiveness domestically, but their lack of success in Europe leaves them adrift in fifth.

    Bundesliga

Not so long ago, it was reasonable to pit the Bundesliga up against the Premier League.

The highpoint of Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund taking on Jupp Heynckes’ Bayern Munich in the 2013 Champions League final is over a decade ago now, however. There have only been four German finalists since then, two of which were in 2024.

Bayer Leverkusen's stunning run to the title sees the Bundesliga improve its marks for competitiveness.

Too often, only Der Klassiker duo seem capable of competing with Europe’s best in the Champions League. Domestically, it has been far too predictable for the last decade.

    La Liga

Barcelona and Real Madrid are both at relative low points. Football prediction giants Real are in a period of transition with a new-look team built around Kylian Mbappe.

Barcelona are still something of a work in progress under Hansi Flick's leadership. Off-field issues continue to stifle the club's progress.

Atletico Madrid have not made it past the last eight of the Champions League since 2016-17. In La Liga, they have been a long way off top spot in each of the last two seasons.

Sevilla, Atleti and Villarreal have all lifted the Europa League in the last decade, but only one La Liga outfit reached the knockout rounds of the 2022-23 Champions League.

Of course, Barcelona and Real Madrid are among the leading contenders for Europe’s premier prize in 2025. Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao are in Europa League contention.

Spanish football, however, is not where it was a few years ago. Stars have aged and/or departed, and clubs outside the top three or four struggle to compete with their Premier League peers financially.

    Serie A

After half-a-dozen false dawns, Serie A might finally be back. Three Italian teams reached the last eight of the 2022-23 Champions League with Milan and Inter meeting in the semis.

Roma reached the Europa League final after winning the 2021-22 Conference League. Fiorentina were finalists in the 2022-23 Conference League.

Lazio cruised to the knockout rounds of the 2024-25 Europa League. Inter were dominant in the Champions League, while Milan and Juventus have favourable playoff ties.

Check out our BTTS tips on the biggest upcoming fixtures!

That’s quite a list of accomplishments for a league which has struggled to keep up with the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga over the last decade.

Of course, those achievements in the last two seasons do not include the Champions League exploits of defending Scudetto winners Napoli or Juventus, who will be back on the continental stage in 2024-25.

    Premier League

Home to many of the richest clubs in world football, the Premier League retains top spot in our rankings.

Not only has the Premier League delivered three of the last six European champions (with two all-English finals in that span), England’s topflight has also been flexing its financial muscle to hoover up talent from all over the world.

Even those outside the big six (or seven if we include Newcastle) can now go toe-to-toe in the transfer market with most clubs around Europe. The league might have become predictable due to Manchester City’s dominance in recent years.

Liverpool are set to end City's run domestically. The Reds, Arsenal, and City are serious contenders for the Champions League.

Unai Emery's Aston Villa have more than held their own in the Champions League, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Chelsea are among the favourites in the Europa League and Conference League.

The Premier League is the strongest league in the world right now, and there’s no sign of that changing any time soon. From an entertainment standpoint, City’s unparalleled brilliance has been the biggest weakpoint.

Derek Chisora Net Worth & Estimated Wealth

    • Sources estimate Derek Chisora net worth at around £6 million

    • Chisora has been a professional boxer since January 2007

    • Del Boy has won 32 of his 42 professional fights – 23 by way of knockout

Derek Chisora is one of the biggest names in British boxing. Del Boy has been a key figure in the sport since beating Istvan Kecskes on his professional debut.

Never afraid to speak his mind, Chisora is a fan favourite across the world – and he has been involved in his fair share of exciting fights over the years.

If you are familiar with boxing betting, you’ll recognise the name Derek Chisora. His clashes with Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte and Oleksandr Usyk will live long in the memory.

Usyk vs Chisora was one of the biggest fights of 2020, with the Ukrainian beating Del Boy on points after an enthralling contest.

Without further ado, it is time to get stuck into Derek Chisora net worth numbers. Let’s take a closer look at Chisora’s boxing career and his life away from the ring…

How Much Is Derek Chisora Worth

Popular in boxing tips for well over a decade now, Derek Chisora has built a strong reputation and he regularly takes home hefty figures on pay-per-view events.

    Bet Calculator

According to various sources, Derek Chisora net worth is an estimated $8.5 million – with most of those earnings coming directly from boxing.

If there is money to be made, you know Chisora will be up for a scrap. A big personality in the sport, Del Boy has earned his opportunity to push for a large pay day.

While this figure is relatively low compared to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, Chisora has made a living from his exploits in the boxing ring.

Does Derek Chisora Have A Wife?

According to internet sources, Derek Chisora is currently single. He certainly tries to keep his private life behind closed doors these days.

Chisora was previously dating Iranian-born Yalda Kontrachty but that relationship ended on a sour note in November 2010.

Reports state that Chisora has a daughter with an unnamed woman. She resides at Del Boy’s north London home but details regarding the mother are unknown.

    Usyk vs Chisora

One of the fights of the year, Chisora and Oleksandr Usyk went to war in October 2020 and it was a titanic battle from start to finish.

While Chisora started quickly, he couldn’t quite put Usyk to the canvas and the Ukrainian fighter started to take control as the bout went on.

Chisora took Usyk the distance but fell short on all three judges’ scorecards – a fair result given how the fight went. With 10 professional defeats to his name, Chisora may be waiting some time for another shot at a high-profile fighter.

    Price vs Chisora

Two of the most dominant British fighters in the heavyweight boxing weight classes, Price and Chisora went toe to toe at the O2 Arena in October 2019.

While you could claim that both men fall just short of world champion level, Chisora and Price are heavyweight journeymen and the former put on a fantastic show.

Chisora unleashed a devastating blow in the fourth round to clinch an early stoppage – much to the delight of Del Boy’s fans across the country.

    How Old Is Derek Chisora?

Derek Chisora was born on 29th December 1983. At the time of writing, he is 40 years old.

Chisora and his family moved to London when he was 16 years old before making his professional boxing debut at just 23.

    Twitter

Chisora is as vocal on social media as he is in press conferences and he can be credited with some of the greatest boxing quotes of all-time.

Del Boy doesn’t hold back with his views and he is capable of landing a devastating verbal blow that can put his rival on the back foot before they even step into the ring.
