  • A true character, Rey Mysterio net worth is an estimated $10 million

Wrestling fans of a certain generation will remember Rey Mysterio like it was yesterday, with the cruiserweight wrestler flying around the ring on a regular basis.

Mysterio brought bundles of energy to his wrestling, helping to attract a new brand of fan during one of the most exciting periods for the industry.

Earning a pretty penny for his performances as a professional wrestler, Rey Mysterio left the WWE in February 2015 but that wasn’t the end of his career in the ring.

  • The Manchester Utd manager job is one of the most sought-after positions in football

  • Bet on the next Manchester United manager with 888sport!

  • Who will be the Man Utd manager for the opening game of next season?

Love them or hate them, Manchester United are one of the biggest football clubs on the planet.

While trophies have been hard to come by in the post Sir Alex Ferguson years, Man Utd are still the world’s largest club from a commercial standpoint.

With so much financial power, the Manchester United manager position remains one of the most interesting jobs in the sport.

How is the Manchester United manager betting market looking ahead of next season? Will the Red Devils opt for a coach with Premier League experience or look elsewhere?

Football betting fans, scroll down for our take on the Old Trafford hotseat race as we look at the next Man United manager odds market…

Bet on the Next Man United Manager

First of all, it is important to note that football manager betting odds can change quickly and all the information below was accurate at the time of writing.

Ralf Rangnick was always going to be a short term appointment and the challenge now is to find a suitable long term candidate to take over at Old Trafford.

https://www.888sport.com/blog/football-prediction

If you’d like to access the next Manchester United betting odds at 888sport, please visit the Premier League outright odds and click the dropdown bar.

As of April 6th 2022, the state of the next Man Utd manager betting market is:

  • Erik ten Hag – 3/10

  • Mauricio Pochettino – 4/1

  • Luis Enrique – 14/1

  • Thomas Tuchel – 14/1

  • Antonio Conte – 20/1

  • Julen Lopetegui – 20/1

  • Ernesto Valverde – 28/1

  • Zinedine Zidane – 28/1

  • Diego Simeone – 33/1

  • Laurent Blanc – 33/1

  • Brendan Rodgers – 40/1

  • Massimiliano Allegri – 40/1

  • Wayne Rooney – 40/1

  • Carlo Ancelotti – 50/1

Erik Ten Hag

The current favourite in almost every Man United manager odds market – and it is easy to see why. However, some fans are still on the fence…

Ten Hag has done a fantastic job with Ajax and his impact and influence on the Dutch giants is clear for all to see but is he suited to the Premier League?

In terms of credentials, Ten Hag ticks every box and his attacking style of play will go down well at Old Trafford.

Perhaps most importantly of all, he has shown that he can build a team. No matter who you pick in the next Man Utd manager betting, the primary task for the new boss will be to rebuild.

Mauricio Pochettino

Linked with Manchester United for several years, Pochettino was once regarded as the clear favourite to take over at Old Trafford.

However, it didn’t turn out that way as the Argentine joined Paris Saint-Germain though the general consensus is that the Ligue 1 giants may part ways with Pochettino this summer.

Those into Premier League Odds will be familiar with Pochettino’s style and he is arguably a safer option than Ten Hag despite the price discrepancy in next Man Utd manager odds.

Poch has a wealth of experience and an impressive resumé but is he the man to lead United back to the top or is he simply just a safe option?

Zinedine Zidane

Touted as a potential dark horse in Man Utd manager odds for some time, Zidane is a free agent and the Old Trafford job carries plenty of appeal.

While he is relatively inexperienced compared to some of his peers, Zidane has the winning mentality needed to succeed at Manchester United.

Would he instantly win the respect of the dressing room? There are some big personalities in that dressing room and Zidane’s man management would need to be top drawer.

Tactically, he can be found wanting and his second stint at Real Madrid was inconsistent at best. There’s a reason why he is a 33/1 shot in the next Man United betting markets…

Brendan Rodgers

The Leicester manager could be an option for Man United manager betting punters but his past association to Liverpool is a major stumbling block.

Rodgers would be a marmite appointment on the terraces – with some supporters able to look past his role at Anfield and others dead set against his appointment.

To be fair, he’s done a fantastic job at Leicester City but has he found his level? He may have one more chance at a ‘big club’ but Old Trafford probably won’t be it.

Like Zidane, Rodgers looks to have next to no chance and we’d advise steering clear of him in the next Man Utd manager odds.

Wayne Rooney

One for the romantics. Rooney has spoken about his desire to take charge of Manchester United in the future but he is some way off that level at this stage of his career.

We’ve seen what can happen when a Premier League club takes a risk on a former player too soon – Frank Lampard being case and point.

Rooney was a key figure for United during their Premier League predictions glory days but is he the right man to take charge? Not at this stage.

Next Man Utd manager odds have him at 40/1 and it’s hard to see a scenario where the club look in Rooney’s direction. Even at 400/1, he isn’t really a betting proposition.

  • The Miz is a professional wrestler and television personality

  • Married to fellow WWE wrestler Maryse, The Miz is a leading figure in the wrestling world

  • Estimates value The Miz net worth at around £12 million

The Miz, real name Michael Gregory Mizanin, was born on 8th October 1980 though he had a difficult start to life.

His parents divorced and he grew up with a stepfather and step-siblings. However, The Miz used his early experiences as fuel for developing character and mental strength.

How Much Is The Miz Worth?

The Miz studied at Normandy High School, captaining the basketball team and representing the cross-country team at inter-school events.

After graduating, he enrolled at Miami University and studied at the university’s business school before dropping out to star on ‘The Real World’ in 2001.

While most online betting fans might say that was a risk, it was a risk worth taking as The Miz announced himself as a major television personality.

The Miz Net Worth & Salary

According to online estimates, The Miz net worth is valued at around £12 million. A leading figure in WWE and popular in the reality TV community, this is a realistic evaluation.

Like many of the highest paid WWE wrestlers, The Miz has a hefty base salary obtained from professional wrestling. He pockets around $1.2 million per year for his WWE commitments…

Successful in the ring, The Miz is a commercial dream and he is one of the most attractive wrestlers from a marketing standpoint. Expect his net worth to increase further in the coming years.

Through both his success as an actor and in the wrestling ring, The Miz has acquired a range of endorsement contracts that have helped to boost his total wealth.

In addition, Michael and Maryse have tried their hand at real estate since getting married – purchasing a Texas mansion in 2017 for $2.35 million before selling on for $2.64 million.

Property is a major passion for the couple, with a number of houses bought and sold over the past five years.

Most recently, Michael and Maryse spent $6.4 million to acquire a sought-after property in Thousand Oaks, California. Three years later, the couple put the house on the market for a cool $12.5 million.

Reality TV Career

Still primarily known as Michael at this point, he joined the cast of the tenth season of ‘The Real World’ and that is where alter ego The Miz was created.

He was a huge hit with fans of the show and he made several television appearances on spin-off shows and even earned roles on other network programmes.

Over a decade later, The Miz earned a role hosting MTVs ‘The Challenge: Champs vs Stars’ and he regularly appears on several reunion shows.

In 2020, The Miz embarked upon a new television host role, taking the lead in ‘Cannonball’ on the USA network.
Plenty of wrestlers have gone into television and acting but few can claim to be as successful as The Miz.

The Miz on WWE

Having joined Ultimate Pro Wrestling in 2003, the Miz earned a WWE contract just twelve months later after finishing second in ‘WWE Tough Enough’ season four.

The Miz moved to Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2006, appearing in a Miz TV segment on their television show – helping him to become a huge hit with wrestling fans.

In addition, The Miz started hosting ‘SmackDown!’ in June 2006 and made his in-ring debut in September. The Miz went undefeated for the first three months of his wrestling career…

A live betting favourite at major events, The Miz won his first WWE Championship in November 2007.

Two years later, he clinched the United States Championship and followed up with a unified WWE Tag Team Championship alongside the Big Show in January 2010.

That victory ensured The Miz became the first WWE wrestler to hold three championship belts at the same time – an incredible achievement to say the least.

Later that year, he won the Money in the Bank ladder match and the WWE Championship. It was a glorious era for Mizanin’s fans…

In 2018, The Miz teamed up with Asuka for the Mixed Match Challenge tournament and won $100,000 for charity Rescue Dogs Rock.

Like many of his peers, The Miz has had his ups and downs since joining the WWE but he is now certainly one of the biggest names in wrestling.

The Miz Championships:

  • WWE Championship (2 times)

  • WWE Intercontinental Championship (8 times)

  • WWE United States Championship (2 times)

  • WWE Tag Team Championship (4 times)

  • WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship (2 times)

  • World Tag Team Championship (2 times)

  • Mixed Match Challenge (Season 1)

  • Money in the Bank (Raw 2010)

Family Life

Is The Miz married? Yes, The Miz is married – and he’s married to a fellow wrestler. He married Maryse Ouellet in February 2014 and the couple have blossomed into wrestling’s power couple.

Maryse has worked as a realtor in the past and she has owned her own business, starting the House of Maryse clothing and jewellery line.

In 2018, Maryse and The Miz even starred in their own Bravo reality television series called Miz & Mrs.

The couple gave birth to daughter Monroe in March 2018 and little sister Madison followed in September 2019.

As one of the highest profile female wrestlers in WWE history, Maryse is able to command a central role in many of the leading storylines.

Undoubtedly, the Mizanin family are a dominant force in the WWE landscape right now and it’ll be interesting to see if Monroe or Madison step into the ring…

  • Randy Orton is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history

  • A 10-time WWE Champion, Orton is a central figure in the organisation

  • As of April 2022, Randy Orton net worth is an estimated £7 million

Born on April 1st 1980, Randal Keith Orton is now one of the biggest names in the world of wrestling.

His father was a professional wrestler but Randy was always persuaded to follow a different career path due to the strain it can put on family life.

How Much Is Randy Orton Worth?

However, Orton was determined to follow in his father’s footsteps and he quickly became an amateur wrestler while studying at Hazelwood Central High School.

Always a popular pick in betting and Wrestlemania odds, Randy graduated from high school and joined the marines but it didn’t really work out.

It seemed wrestling was always going to be his forte and he made his full wrestling debut just two years after leaving the marine corps in 2001.

Randy Orton Net Worth & Salary

According to online estimates, Randy Orton has a total net worth of around £7 million. If you make it as a professional wrestler, chances are you’ll enjoy a lucrative lifestyle.

Wrestling salaries are often kept private but most estimates value Randy Orton annual income at $2.7 million – including earnings from endorsements, PPV sales and merchandise.

Randy Orton WWE salary figures are difficult to obtain, with some valuations estimating his yearly earnings at $1.1 million from his role as a professional wrestler.

Endorsements are another way of obtaining wealth and that is no different for Randy Orton – he is one of the most sought-after figures in wrestling.

Like many of his fellow highest paid WWE wrestlers, Randy Orton has purchased an array of luxury vehicles.

However, the most prestigious of those is a customised car that was gifted to him by former Legacy peers Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr.

Awarded to Orton on an episode of WWE’s Raw, that particular vehicle has a special place in his heart. In addition, he owns a black Hummer 2 Dub and that is one lavish ride.

In 2016, Orton sold the 2,600 square-foot property that he’d bought with his first wife. That decision pocketed the WWE superstar a tasty $775,000 – further adding to his wealth.

Wrestling Career

Having made his debut in the wrestling community in 2001, Randy Orton joined the World Wrestling Federation just one year later.

He was on the fast track to success and Orton – with wrestling in his blood – took to it like a duck to water, impressing during his early years in the industry.

Within the first 18 months, Randy Orton had matured into a fan favourite and he made his television appearance against Hardcore Holly in April 2002.

Having suffered a shoulder injury that left him sidelined for several months, Orton appeared on the “Randy News Network” and that helped build his villain status in WWE.

When he returned, Orton had dubbed the nickname ‘The Legend Killer’ and that helped him grab the attention of the entire wrestling community.

Orton would start feuds with veteran wrestlers and that helped to enhance his reputation as one of wrestling’s bad boys, though that would of course change.

The “RKO” is Randy Orton’s finishing move, named after his own initials. The signature move is known around the world and is even recognised away from the wrestling world.

Randy Orton has a long list of honours and championships won throughout his professional wrestling career and he looks set to continue battling at the top table for the foreseeable future.

Randy Orton Accomplishments:

  • WWE Championship (10 times)

  • World Heavyweight Championship (4 times)

  • WWE Intercontinental Championship (1 time)

  • WWE United States Championship (1 time)

  • World Tag Team Championship (1 time)

  • WWE Raw Tag Team Championship (2 times)

  • WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship (1 time)

  • Money in the Bank (2013)

  • Royal Rumble (2009, 2017)

Entrance Music

Whether you’re a WWE fanatic or relatively new to the wrestling ring, chances are you’ll recognise the Randy Orton ring walk theme song.

During the Royal Rumble, live betting odds can swing in an instant if you hear Randy Orton’s ring music and it is an anthem that is feared by many of his rivals.

‘Voices’ by Rev Theory is now synonymous with the WWE star, with the singer of the track confirming to Bleacher Report that the song was made exclusively for Randy Orton.

Having studied his personality in the ring, Rev Theory wrote the track around his image and it stuck. It is one of the iconic wrestling ring anthems.

Family Life

Is Randy Orton married? The answer is yes!

In fact, Randy has been married on two occasions. He tied the knot with Samantha Speno in September 2007 and the couple gave birth to daughter Alanna in July 2008.

However, after almost six years of marriage, the wrestling lifestyle and impact on home life took its toll as Randy and Samantha got divorced.

Two years later, Randy married Kimberly Kessler. Just one year later, the pair gave birth to daughter Brooklyn in 2016 and the couple are happily married and still live in Missouri.

The lifestyle of a professional wrestler is tough on any family dynamic but Orton is a doting father and he is committed to providing for both of his daughters.

Acting Career

While he has a long way to go to match the Leonardo Di Caprio’s of this world, Randy Orton has enjoyed a successful acting career.

He has appeared in several films and television shows, including taking on the lead role in American action movie ’12 Rounds 2: Reloaded’.

The film was generally well received and can be watched on a range of online streaming platforms, so it is well worth a watch if you want to get your Randy Orton fix before his next WWE appearance.

  • Dennis Wise enjoyed a long and successful career as a Premier League midfielder

  • On top of his footballing achievements, controversy and celebrity have made him a household name

  • Twenty years at the top and shrewd investments have made Wise a wealthy man

Born on December 16th, 1966, in Kensington, London, Dennis Frank Wise played for eight different clubs, most notably Wimbledon and Chelsea, as well as representing England on 22 occasions.

A tenacious midfielder and original member of the Dons’ ‘Crazy Gang’ controversy often accompanied a long career where the successes were largely found in the FA Cup.

Three times he lifted the famous trophy with Wise also reaching the final against all betting logic as player/manager at Millwall.

On retirement, punditry and various celebrity endeavours followed but the footballer nicknamed ‘Dennis the Menace’ always kept one foot in the game, taking on executive roles at Newcastle and later Como.

All of this and more have made Wise a wealthy individual.

Playing Career

Wise first made inroads into the professional game at Southampton, a club he would briefly go on to manage in a caretaker capacity many years later.

On the south coast, the head-strong youngster learned the ropes but fell out with his superiors, revealing he had a fiery temperament even then.

At the age of 18 he made a switch to Wimbledon and so began a remarkable period in his life, and a remarkable period for English football, as the self-styled ‘Crazy Gang’ earned promotion to the top-flight and achieved one of the biggest upsets in modern sport by beating Liverpool in the 1988 FA Cup final.

Wimbledon’s escapades both on and off the pitch gained widespread notoriety and Wise took a lot of that wild west mentality with him to the West End on signing for Chelsea in 1990 for a then-club record of £1.6m.

Yet, for all the folklore surrounding Wise the wind-up merchant, there was also a very decent player in there too, as evidenced by the player winning more England caps than Matt Le Tissier to name but one.

At Stamford Bridge, the midfielder captained a cosmopolitan side to domestic cup honours in addition to a UEFA Cup triumph during a pre-Abramovich era that had Chelsea emerge as a force to be reckoned with.

He left in 2001 having made the fourth most appearances ever for the club though at no stage did the Blues seriously challenge for the title. Our Premier League predictions anticipate that applying once again this season.

Stints at Leicester and Millwall came next, his experience proving invaluable at the latter, as the second-tier Lions finished runner-up in the FA Cup in 2004.

How Much Is Dennis Wise Worth?

The diminutive star is reported to be worth a cool £9m, a figure not wholly earned from two decades playing at the highest level but also from a series of successful property deals along with a substantial investment in a golf course.

The first half of Wise’s career was played out prior to the Premier League’s formation and the financial boom that hugely benefited its players but still good money would have been earned.

From 1992 onwards however – a period that saw Wise installed as captain at Chelsea with the added lucrative status of being an England international – his wages skyrocketed.

The highest earners in the top-flight multiplied from £10,000 a week in the early Nineties to £90,000 in 2002, the season when Wise dropped down a division to join Millwall.

Throughout this time, given his importance to a leading top-flight club, he would have undoubtedly been in the upper bracket of earners, undoubtedly bringing in an eye-watering sum each week.

After hanging up his boots in the mid-2000s, Wise donned a suit and moved ‘upstairs’ within the footballing fraternity, becoming a Director of Football at Newcastle.

An unpopular appointment with the locals, it was revealed soon after his departure that he was still being paid his £1.5m a year salary despite no longer being employed by the Magpies.

In a bid to improve his public image, the often divisive but never boring Wise agreed to go into the jungle in 2017 where he was initially considered one of the favourites in the I’m A Celebrity betting until accusations of bullying scuppered is chances.

Still, the rumoured fee just south of £100,000 would have been a welcome compensation for his time.

Punditry work for Sky has also boosted his income post-retirement and today Wise naturally enjoys the trappings of his success, residing in a £2m house in Buckinghamshire.

Family Life

Wise met his future wife Claire at the height of his footballing prowess, the pair eventually marrying in 2004 after already having two children: Henry and Amber. A third child was born soon after, named George.

The former player is fiercely protective of his clan, barely mentioning them on the few social media posts he commits to though Henry is now in the public eye on his own merit, following his father into the professional game.

After coming through the ranks at QPR and Arsenal, Henry – now 22 – made his first and only appearance for Watford in the FA Cup in 2020, his outing making the national press due to a lovely synergy.

Way back in 2000, on lifting the FA Cup with Chelsea at the last final to be staged at the old Wembley, Wise paraded the trophy with one hand in front of a global audience and carried six-month-old Henry with the other.

The dad of three has spoken in the past of the immense importance he places in his family and it’s a concern incidentally that extends to all children.

At the turn of the century, the Blues skipper founded the Dennis Wise & Frankham Group, a charity that raises money for kids with disabilities.

Executive Position

Wise’s venturing into an executive role at Newcastle proved so disastrous that he himself has claimed that it ‘damaged’ his reputation for some time after.

Several years on though, he willingly undertook a similar challenge, this time at Serie B team Como under the remit of ‘technical consultant’. To this point, his do-over is going well, or at least much better.

Elsewhere, Wise has taken on a secondary task in sourcing young talent from Indonesia in his role as technical director of a long-term football coaching program called Garuda Select.

For the program Wise arranges games between academies of internationally renowned clubs and sides so obscure they don’t even appear in our extensive live betting markets.

The idea is to give players that ordinarily would go unnoticed a platform to perform.

    • Arsenal have given us some of the deadliest ever finishers in English football

    • Known as a cosmopolitan club, their most lethal top ten contains only two foreign players

    • Two modern-day bona fide legends top the list

Being the third most successful club in English football it naturally follows that Arsenal have given us some of the deadliest and best forwards around down the decades, forwards that struck fear in goalkeepers and lit up Highbury then later the Emirates Stadium.

To pick out the greatest of all time we used the only currency they used – goals.

    10) David Jack

David Bone Nightingale Jack – yes, really – was a lethal inside-forward who was the first player to score at Wembley, a second-minute strike for Bolton in the 1923 FA Cup final.

He was also the first footballer to be transferred for a figure above £10,000, switching from the Trotters to Herbert Chapman’s all-conquering Arsenal, for a fee that almost doubled the previous record.

    Bet Calculator

These impressive feats however paled to his main forte, that of scoring goals on a regular basis. Jack boasted a better than one-in-two strike-rate throughout his time in North London so it surprises that he only won nine England caps.

    9) Joe Hulme

For several seasons leading up to the outbreak of World War II, the Gunners’ front three consisted of Alex James, Cliff Bastin, and a flying right winger by the name of Joe Hulme.

Arsenal won three league titles in this period along with a brace of FA Cups. These two truths are not unconnected.

As well as terrorising defenders in very large shorts, Hulme turned out for Middlesex County Cricket club most summers, making over 8000 runs and taking 89 wickets.

This man of many talents then turned his hand to journalism after hanging up his boots and pads.

    8) Robin Van Persie

Van the Man would be loved and hated in equal moderation by the live betting community these days, being a forward who so often turned a game on its head with a single moment of magic.

Joining from Feyenoord in 2004 for a bargain £2.75m, the Rotterdam-born talent was a thoroughly modern attacker blessed with as much technical ability as predatory instincts.

Rarely did he tap home from close range with every finish instead laced with a certain panache.

If it usually follows that such a player finds himself in the running each year for Goal of the Season but never the Golden Boot, Van Persie was the exception to this axiom, bagging a remarkable 30 goals in his farewell campaign for the Gunners.

The manner in which he left the capital for Manchester United in 2012 perhaps tainted his legacy but what a legacy it was, all the same.

    7) Doug Lishman

Aside from football historians not many are overly familiar with the feats of the Brummie inside-forward, though his record of 137 goals in 244 compares favourably to the greats.

A staple of Arsenal’s fine post-war collective, Lishman finished top scorer for five seasons’ running and once netted a hat-trick in three consecutive home games.

His goals ensured that the Gunners lifted a seventh league title in 1952 and for this alone he deserves an ever-lasting place in the club’s pantheon.

That and he scored considerably more goals than Dennis Bergkamp, Alan Smith or Joe Baker, who all miss out on our top ten.

    =5) Ted Drake

One of the original superstars of the game, Drake was the embodiment of a big and powerful English centre-forward who once blasted seven past Aston Villa, an English record that is unlikely to ever be surpassed.

In that same game, the former gas-mater reader headed an effort against the bar and saw the ball bounce down over the line. On informing the referee of this when it was wrongly disallowed, he was told not to be ‘greedy’.

But he was greedy, in the best possible sense, firing 42 goals in 41 matches during his zenith season for the Gunners in 1935, a tally that included an incredible quartet of four-goal hauls.

Two decades later, Drake led Chelsea to a league crown thus becoming the first person to win titles as both a player and manager.

    =5) Jimmy Brain

Not many have dared move directly from Arsenal to Tottenham or vice versa.

In 1931, the Bristol-born centre-forward did precisely this, ending a long and successful association with the Gunners that brought the club a league title a year earlier.

Brain wasn’t especially tall for his position, nor quick, but he possessed a sixth sense for finding the back of the net, an innate ability that would have made him a firm betting favourite today.

A goal every 150 minutes across eight campaigns in North London is testimony to that.

    4) John Radford

An integral part of Arsenal’s famed double-winning side of 1971, Radford came through the club ranks, immediately making his mark on reaching the first-team by notching a hat-trick aged just 17.

Two assists in Arsenal’s FA Cup final success over Liverpool reveals this was a player with several strings to his bow and his versatility really came to the fore a season later, with his side again chasing cup glory.

In the semi final against Stoke, goalkeeper Bob Wilson went down injured and it was Radford who put on the gloves, heroically frustrating the Potters all the way to a replay in which he scored the winner. That’s Roy of the Rovers stuff.

    3) Cliff Bastin

An early inductee into the English Football Hall of Fame, Bastin was a household name throughout the Thirties, known and admired for his prolificacy in red and white.

Indeed, so familiar was he that in 1941 Italian propaganda had it that Bastin had been captured while fighting in the Battle if Crete.

Unbeknownst to Radio Rome, the legendary figure had been excused active service due to deafness in one ear and was spending the war as a warden, on occasions standing atop of Highbury looking out for enemy aircraft.

Protecting the stadium in war, lighting it up in peacetime, Bastin was a true Gunner great.

    2) Ian Wright

Now a popular television personality and football pundit, ‘Wrighty’ was a box-office striker capable of every kind of goal and scoring every kind of goal on an almost weekly basis.

A latecomer to the professional echelons of the game it always appeared that he was making up for lost time, putting in that extra five per cent of effort to all around him.

Ally this to a natural array of gifts and you have a phenomenon who fired 185 goals, great and good, across most of the Nineties.

Our recent Ian Wright net worth article detailed that the former Crystal Palace, Arsenal and England attacker has a personal fortune that is enviable. Gooners worldwide would insist he has earned – and was worth – every penny.

    1) Thierry Henry

An invaluable member of the Arsenal Invincibles, who went the entirety of the 2004/05 Premier League season unbeaten, Henry was arguably the finest example of Arsene Wenger’s managerial genius, when ‘Le Professeur’ bought the French international winger from Juventus and transformed him into a devilish forward.

Furnished with lightning speed, along with an extraordinarily quick mind that had the footwork to keep up with it, Henry would go on to make every top-flight defender’s lives a living hell for eight years in the capital, scoring 228 times and establishing himself as a genuine great of our times.

We will not see many like him again.

    • It takes a brave individual to play for both Celtic and Rangers
    • Only a handful of players have crossed the Old Firm divide
    • Here are the 10 best players to play for Celtic and Rangers

Celtic and Rangers attract the vast majority of football betting online attention in Scotland.

They have dominated the league over the last few decades, winning every single top flight title since 1985. They have combined to be named Scottish champions 106 times, making them two of the most successful clubs in the world.

It is one of football’s biggest rivalries, based on so much more than football and geography. Celtic and Rangers are a part of Scottish culture well beyond their four league meetings per season.

Tempers have flared on and off the field. The Old Firm is a fixture watched across the world, competing with the Superclásico and Derby of the Eternal Enemies for the title of fiercest footballing rivalry.

Only a few have dared to switch Old Firm allegiances. Here are 10 who have represented both Celtic and Rangers.

    Mark Brown

A Rangers academy graduate, Mark Brown made just a handful of appearances for the Ibrox club before joining Motherwell.

Brown signed with Celtic in 2006. He was no more than a backup at the club, but won two league titles despite playing only 14 times across three seasons.

    Lewis Morgan

In the Rangers academy from 2004 to 2013, Lewis Morgan never made the breakthrough to the Gers’ first team. Instead, Morgan joined St Mirren and begun to build a reputation at the club.

His performances impressed sufficiently to attract Celtic, who signed him in 2018 with a loan back to St Mirren until the end of the campaign.

While Morgan never really became a regular at Celtic, he has gone on to enjoy success in MLS with Inter Miami and New York Red Bulls.

    Mo Johnston

Starting out with Partick Thistle and Watford, Mo Johnston had made a name for himself when he joined Celtic in the mid-1980s.

Johnston then moved to Nantes. Despite claiming he would never return to Scotland and then hinting at a return to Celtic, he signed with Rangers in 1989.

This was perhaps the most controversial transfer in Rangers’ history. Johnston was considered their first major Roman Catholic signing, leading to furious fans on both sides of the rivalry.

A lot of the bad feeling dissipated when Johnston scored a late winner against Celtic in November of that year.

    Alfie Conn Jr

The first player after the Second World War to play for Rangers and Celtic, Kirkcaldy-born Alfie Conn started out at Rangers and ended up at Celtic via Tottenham.

Conn played a part as Rangers won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1972 and the Scottish Cup the following year.

He became a fan favourite with Tottenham, winning his only two international caps while playing for the north London club, before winning another Scottish Cup in 1977 as Celtic beat Rangers in the final.

When he left Celtic in 1979, Conn became a true journeyman, enjoying spells in the United States and England before hanging up his boots in 1984.

    Steven Pressley

Steven Pressley had a lengthy playing career with his Old Firm experiences bookending his peak years. Starting out at Rangers, Pressley made just 34 appearances for the club before longer spells with Dundee United and Hearts.

He was back in Glasgow with Celtic by 2006, and won the 2006-07 title, but Pressley’s role had clearly diminished by this point. Released by Celtic in 2008, he signed with Randers on a short-term pact.

    Kenny Miller

One of the Celtic vs Rangers top scorers, Kenny Miller had three stints with Rangers and a season with Celtic in a career which took him from Vancouver to Bursa.

A four-time Scottish Premiership winner, Miller even won a Golden Boot in 2010-11 at the end of his second spell with Rangers. He’s also got the distinction of being the first player to score Champions League goals for both Celtic and Rangers.

    Barry Robson

Never making it to the first team despite several years in the Rangers academy, Barry Robson featured in live betting for Inverness, Forfar and Dundee United before signing with Celtic in 2008.

He spent a couple of years with the Bhoys, winning the 2007-08 title. Robson moved on to Middlesbrough, Vancouver and Sheffield United. He finished off his career with Aberdeen, and amassed 17 caps for Scotland.

    Craig Beattie

Released from the Rangers academy by Dick Advocaat, Craig Beattie moved to Celtic where he established a place in the first team squad.

Debuting in 2003, Beattie remained at Celtic until 2007. He scored 16 times in 65 appearances, winning three league titles and two Scottish Cups in the process.

    Tully Craig

Tully Craig played all over the pitch. While predominantly remembered as a left half, Craig operated anywhere from defence to attack in a career which started in the 1910s and was wrapped up just a few years before the Second World War.

Craig arrived at Celtic in 1919 from Grange Rovers, though he played just eight times for the club before being sent in a swap deal with Alloa Athletic.

Impressing for The Wasps, Craig was signed by Rangers after just a year for £750. He went on to play a pivotal role in seven league title-winning campaigns with Rangers, and won eight Scotland caps between 1927 and 1930.

    Greg Taylor

Current Scotland international and Celtic utility man Greg Taylor is one of several on this list who were in the academy of one Old Firm team and ended up playing for the other.

Rangers rejected Taylor as a youth player, citing his small, slight frame. He ended up at Kilmarnock and impressed sufficiently that Celtic signed him in 2019.

    • Playing for Inter and Milan is a more common occurrence than you might expect

    • Some of the best players in Serie A history have represented the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri

    • Read below for the 10 greatest players to appear for both Inter and AC Milan

Serie A hasn’t been at the forefront of European football over the last decade plus.

Overshadowed by brilliant Bayern and Dortmund teams, the big three in La Liga, PSG’s riches and the Premier League’s super powers, Serie A has been on the back seat compared to its dominance of the 1990s.

Still, the league remains one of the biggest when it comes to football betting online.

Inter and Milan have had their struggles across the last few seasons, but they are still subject of headlines on a daily basis. We’re taking a look at the best players to have played for both of the Milan giants.

    Patrick Vieira

Having impressed for Cannes, even captaining the team as a teenager, Patrick Vieira joined Milan in 1995. He made just two first appearances for the club, however, before signing for Arsenal in 1996.

Of course, the Frenchman returned to Serie A when he left the Gunners. His time with Juventus was short-lived as a result of Calciopoli, though, and he switched to Inter in 2006.

Given his short time with Milan, Vieira’s move to Inter was not deemed as controversial as many others.

The former World Cup winner ultimately won four Scudetti with the Nerazzurri before signing with Manchester City in 2010.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Never afraid of controversy, Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed for Inter from Juventus in 2006, and won three league titles with the club alongside several individual honours.

The Swede was sent to Barcelona in a swap deal for Samuel Eto’o in 2009. His time in Catalunya didn’t work out, and he was loaned to Milan a year later.

The Rossoneri made the move permanent after Ibrahimovic had starred on the way to the 2010-11 Serie A crown.

Via PSG, Manchester United and LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic returned to Europe for a second stint with Milan in 2020.

    Roberto Baggio

The Divine Ponytail was one of the faces of Serie A predictions during the golden years of the 1990s.

Roberto Baggio peaked with Juventus in the first half of the decade, but he was no slouch during his 1995-97 tenure with Milan and 1998-2000 spell with Inter.

Not as prolific or decorated as many others mentioned here, Baggio’s legacy goes far beyond medals and individual accolades. The 1993 Ballon d’Or illustrates what a talent he was in his pomp.

Baggio played with a verve, drawing comparisons to Diego Maradona, and produced moments of magic that have lived long in the memories of fans worldwide.

    Clarence Seedorf

When it comes to greatness for both Inter and Milan, few can rival Clarence Seedorf.

Spending three seasons and amassing almost 100 appearances for Inter across the turn of the century, the Dutchman switched black and blue for red and black in 2002.

Seedorf spent almost a decade with Milan, winning two Scudetti and two Champions Leagues.

His place among the best midfielders of the 21st century was secured, as was a spot in the FIFA 100 and the Milan Hall of Fame.

    Andrea Pirlo

Andrea Pirlo represented the three biggest clubs in Serie A betting.

His role in the midfield quartet with Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso and Kaka is fondly remembered, as is his late-career mastery at Juventus. It’s easy to forget that the Architect spent a couple of seasons with Inter, too.

Pirlo played over 400 times for Milan. Like Seedorf, he has two Champions League winners’ medals and two league titles to show for his time with the Rossoneri, and he was named to the 2006 FIFPro World XI following Italy’s World Cup triumph.

    Ronaldo

The Brazilian Ronaldo experienced both sides of two of football’s biggest rivalries, playing for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and Milan.

The version of Ronaldo at Inter, though, was a world away from the late-career iteration who played in 2007-08 for Milan.

Despite battling injuries during his Inter tenure, O Fenômeno was clearly still one of the best players on the planet, and arguably the best centre forward of the last 30 years.

He won the Ballon d’Or in 1997, and scored 59 times in under 100 appearances for Inter, including 34 in 47 in his first campaign at San Siro.

    Giuseppe Meazza

A two-time World Cup winner and Inter’s all-time leading goal scorer, Giuseppe Meazza also had a brief stint with Milan between 1940 and 1942.

He wrapped up his career with Inter later that decade, and went on to manage the Nerazzurri for three spells.

San Siro was named in Meazza’s honour in 1980, a matter of months after his death. Thrice Serie A top scorer and a three-time league winner with Inter, Meazza is arguably the greatest Italian footballer of all-time.

    Luigi Cevenini

Luigi Cevenini had five stints across the two Milan clubs, representing Inter in three different spells and playing for Milan in 1911-12 and between 1915 and 1919.

He moved directly between the clubs on three occasions before featuring for various other teams in Italy including Juventus, Messina and Novara.

A prolific goal scorer, Cevenini was just under a goal per game in his 399 club appearances. He also amassed 29 caps for Italy, scoring 11 times and winning the Central European International Cup.

    Hernan Crespo

Hernan Crespo played for both Milan clubs either side of a season at Chelsea.

The west London team acquired the Argentine from Inter in 2003, and loaned him to Milan for the 2004-05 campaign, when he starred as they went all the way to the Champions League final.

The Blues then loaned Crespo to Inter from 2006 until 2008 -- he then joined on a permanent basis. Crespo won three consecutive titles with the Nerazzurri.

    Mario Balotelli

One of the most recent examples of a player to play for both Milan clubs, Mario Balotelli was a young prospect at Inter, which earned a high-profile move to Manchester City.

His time in Manchester had its ups and downs to say the least, and Balotelli departed the club in 2013 to return to San Siro with Milan.

It’s never been dull with Super Mario. His career hasn’t lived up to expectations, but some of his best football came in the colours of Inter and Milan.
