The summer transfer window is here and that means daily transfer rumours that could have a major impact on football betting odds next season.

With high profile names from across Europe linked with some of the biggest clubs on the planet, it is one of the most exciting periods of the campaign.

Top Transfer Betting Tips:

These are just a few of the biggest names linked with departures this summer – it could be a massive period for spending after an unprecedented campaign.

Without further ado, it is time to take a closer look at our list of the top transfer betting tips. All eight players would impact the online betting odds ahead of next season…

Philippe Coutinho

One of the highest profile names on this list, Coutinho could be set for a spectacular return to the Premier League.

It hasn’t quite worked out for the Brazilian since leaving Liverpool for Barcelona but he has managed to regain something close to his best form while on loan at Bayern Munich.

On his day, Coutinho is a joy to watch. This midfield maestro is capable of taking a game by the scruff of the neck and creating something out of nothing.

Linked with both Chelsea and a possible return to Liverpool, Coutinho would have a positive impact on the outright winner odds for whichever team he joined.

Gareth Bale

Wales, Golf, Madrid – in that order. Bale was the easy scapegoat for some of Real Madrid’s shortcomings in recent years and the Bernabeu hierarchy have turned against him.

Once widely regarded as one of the top three players on the planet, Real paid a then-world record fee for the Welshman but his time in Spain could be coming to an end.

Given the opportunity, Bale is still capable of holding his own in any starting line-up in world football. It will be interesting to see if any of Europe’s elite clubs test the waters...

Bale has been linked with Manchester United over the last few years – could the Red Devils move for the 31-year-old this summer?

Ben Chilwell

Chilwell has been a fantastic servant to Leicester City since working his way up through the academy, notching over 100 appearances in all competitions.

The Foxes left back has elevated his game to new heights in 2019/20, adding an attacking element to his play. As a result, Chilwell has scored three league goals this season.

Reports have claimed that Chilwell is one of Chelsea’s top targets and the chance to join a leading Premier League betting odds club might be too good to turn down.

Chilwell is now an established England international and a move to Stamford Bridge could be on the cards if he maintains his form in the coming weeks.

Jan Vertonghen

Vertonghen has been part of the furniture at Tottenham since 2012 and Spurs fans will be gutted to see the Belgium defender leave the club at the end of the campaign.

While not directly a ‘transfer’ as he is due to depart as a free agent, Vertonghen has already attracted lots of attention in the transfer market – particularly with Serie A clubs.

In fact, three of the leading clubs in our transfer betting odds are in Italy’s top flight. Given his style and age, Vertonghen would probably be well suited to Italian football.

While unlikely, a romantic return to Ajax cannot be ruled out. However, the more realistic option is to join former Premier League star Chris Smalling at AS Roma.

Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe was touted as a future Ballon d’Or winner when he burst onto the scene at AS Monaco. Now with Paris Saint-Germain, he is one step closer to that accolade.

Still only 21 years old, Mbappe has the world at his feet and he has been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in recent times.

His goal scoring record is sensational and he wouldn’t look out of place in any of those teams. The key to staying in Paris is European success but will Ligue 1 hinder his Ballon d’Or chances?

Mbappe’s stock will continue to rise if he lights up the Champions League next month. At the time of writing, PSG are a 7/2 chance to win the competition with 888sport.

Jack Grealish

Who is the first Aston Villa player to spring to mind? The answer: Grealish. The 24-year-old has been absolutely outstanding this season and could yet be key to Villa’s survival chances.

With seven goals and six assists, Grealish has been directly involved in 33% of Villa’s league goals this campaign. If they stay up, his price tag is going to be huge.

Grealish is Villa through and through but he looks destined for bigger and better things in the future. He has the talent to go all the way to the top.

The Villa captain refused to comment on his future in a recent interview and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur come knocking.

Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez was a demon during his Arsenal days but failed to live up to the hype after moving to Manchester United. Nowadays, he is plying his trade out in Italy.

While Sanchez has been directly involved in 12 league goals for Inter Milan, he has played the full 90 minutes just five times all season.

Sanchez is still on loan from Manchester United and his future may depend on whether Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to give him a second chance at Old Trafford.

Would United’s top four betting odds be enhanced with Sanchez back in the squad? If not, it might be the right time to send him on his way…

Isco

The second Real Madrid player on this list, Isco has made 23 La Liga appearances this season but eight of those have been off the substitutes bench.

However, the Spain international ended the 2019/20 campaign on a high note, with a Man of the Match performance and a goal in the final league games of the season.

Isco has been linked with a move to Manchester City for some time now – he is the perfect Pep Guardiola midfielder. And with David Silva leaving the club this summer, now could be the ideal time for City to make a move.

On paper, Isco ticks all the right boxes to succeed in the Premier League. He would certainly give the Blues another creative option in what might be the best midfield in world football.

It has been an unprecedented offseason but it looks like the 2020 National Football League season will go ahead as scheduled.

This is great news for American football fans who have been missing their weekly NFL fix on a Sunday. As we enter the 2020 NFL season, the ultimate objective for all 32 teams is to win the Super Bowl.

The odds are against some of last year’s strugglers but there are plenty of dark horses who could be worth chancing in NFL tips ahead of the opening weekend.

Super Bowl - Dark Horses

The Cleveland Browns were the hype team going into the 2019 NFL campaign. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are that team this time around. Can Tom Brady lead the Bucs to a first Super Bowl since the 2002 season? Only time will tell…

Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at our five longshots for Super Bowl glory.

With around two months to go until the 2020 NFL season gets underway, these teams are primed to outperform their odds in the coming months.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills had gone 17 years without a postseason appearance prior to 2017 but Buffalo have now reached the playoffs in two of the last three seasons.

One of the main reasons for their resurgence is quarterback Josh Allen – he is maturing into an elite talent at the position.
However, there is little doubt that Buffalo’s platform for Super Bowl glory is built on a strong defensive unit.

The Bills ranked second for points allowed per game and third for total yards allowed last season and Buffalo fans will be hoping to build on that success.

With the New England Patriots moving on from Tom Brady, Buffalo can take the AFC East by the scruff of the neck and the Bills are a NFL betting pick this season.

Super Bowl odds: 28/1

Indianapolis Colts

Frank Reich is building something special at Lucas Oil Stadium and Colts fans are excited at what the future holds.

The AFC South is there for the taking this year and, with a bit of luck on the injury front, Indianapolis could be the team to beat.

Andrew Luck’s shock retirement rocked the Colts just two weeks before the 2019 campaign but Indy moved swiftly to acquire veteran Philip Rivers in free agency.

That in itself is a move that suggests the Colts are in ‘win now’ mode and must be taken seriously.

Their schedule could be easier but Indy have a talented group of youngsters and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the Colts in action at Raymond James Stadium next February.

Best Super Bowl odds: 28/1

Dallas Cowboys

The Jason Garrett era is finally over. In new head coach Mike McCarthy, the Cowboys have a Super Bowl winner at the helm and Dallas are worthy contenders.

The Dallas offense is built on success in the running game but that makes total sense when you have a player like Ezekiel Elliott on your roster.

With an improving defensive unit and a positive NFL Draft, the Cowboys are primed to go close in their pursuit of a second NFC East title in three years.

Dak Prescott’s contract negotiations have hit a bump in the road but that shouldn’t impact Dallas too much – if anything it may spur him on.

Based on the 2019 campaign, Dallas have the third easiest schedule this year and America’s Team will be a popular pick in sports betting odds.

Super Bowl odds: 18/1

Green Bay Packers

The Packers finished the 2019 regular season with a 13-3 record and Matt LaFleur will be demanding more of the same from his players.

Green Bay are one of the most successful teams in NFL history but the Packers have won just one Super Bowl title since 1997.

Statistically, Aaron Rodgers had an off year in 2019 and it will be interesting to see if the offence reverts back to a pass-happy approach.

The running game thrived last season though, with Aaron Jones notching 16 rushing touchdowns. However, this should take some pressure off Rodgers and that should benefit the Packers.

The 2020 season could come too soon for the Packers but if their NFL Draft picks step up to the plate, Green Bay could spring a major Super Bowl shock.

Super Bowl odds: 28/1

Seattle Seahawks

The NFC West is now one of the most competitive divisions in football, with both the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle recording 11 or more wins last season.

Pete Carroll has a wealth of NFL experience and the Seahawks head coach can make the difference this year – especially with a few astute moves in free agency.

Seattle ranked third for most rushing attempts per game in 2019 and it is no coincidence that the top three teams in that category all reached the playoffs.

Super Bowl betting odds for Seattle will be boosted by Carlos Hyde’s arrival and Seahawks fans will be hoping their 2020 NFL Draft picks thrive over the course of the season.

When you have Russell Wilson on your roster, anything is possible. The Legion of Boom era is well and truly over but Seattle are by no means out of the Super Bowl conversation.

Super Bowl odds: 22/1

The 2020 offseason will be unique. Many teams will be wary of spending, perhaps making it a quieter transfer window than usual.

The biggest clubs in the world will still be looking to add to their squads, which could see some high-profile players fall out of the first team.

Players In Danger

In other cases, it’s a change of manager or altered approach that has forced a big signing to backup status or even to the dreaded stage of unwanted contract.

These 10 players are all of different stature in the game and at their clubs. They are all, or have been, important to their respective teams, but they see their game time and relevance drop next season…

Luis Suarez

Not the player he was, Luis Suarez is still one of Europe’s better strikers, but the pressure is great at Barcelona.

A team lacking cohesion could be looking to make changes ahead of 2020/21, and Suarez’s game time could be one of the casualties.

His 16 La Liga goals this term is his lowest tally since his first season in Spain. Barcelona may rejig their attack as they look to bring the best out of Antoine Griezmann, who has (to put it kindly) underwhelmed in his first season.

Barcelona need change if they are to be a strong pick in outright winner odds next season.

Fred

Manchester United will always be a popular football betting team. With how they’ve played in recent weeks, they are a popular team to watch as well.

The 4-3-3 adopted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seen Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes pull the strings behind Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood. The results, at times, have been devastating.

Fred, a costly acquisition, has improved this year, but he’s fallen to into a backup role.

United need him as squad depth, but he may well be no more than that next year – that’s a lot of money for a player who could start fewer than 10 Premier League matches.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Chelsea want to be more than a top four betting team next season. Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are on their way. Kai Havertz could be joining them.

Goalkeeper is arguably their greatest weakness. Kepa Arrizabalaga is the worst goalkeeper in the league when it comes to post-shot expected goals minus goals allowed.

Andre Onana, Jan Oblak and others have been linked with Chelsea as Roman Abramovich continues a spending spree much like his early years at the club.

Kepa could find himself sitting on the bench or out on loan next season.

Eden Hazard

Having been Real Madrid’s blockbuster signing last summer and started just 14 La Liga matches this season, it may seem premature for Eden Hazard to lose his place.

With Vinicius and Rodrygo impressing, however, there’s no question that the Belgian is already under pressure.

Zinedine Zidane has shown he will be decisive with big name players (just ask Gareth Bale). Hazard needs to start the 2020/21 season well if his time in the Spanish capital is to be deemed a success.

John Stones

With only 15 Premier League appearances this season, and being regularly on the bench in big matches, it wouldn’t be foolish to say John Stones has already ‘fallen out of favour’.

Pep Guardiola is set to invest heavily in his defence this offseason. They have already been linked with Nathan Ake, which would push Stones further down the pecking order.

His time at Etihad Stadium looks to be coming to an end – where will he end up next?

Divock Origi

Depth has been the question at Liverpool. They are not the same team once they delve beyond their top 12 or 13 players.

Divock Origi, a hero for the club on big occasion aplenty, is one such weakness and is an area they will be looking to upgrade.

Whether through youth players taking some of his minutes or a new signing, Origi’s position in the squad could be on a downward trajectory.

How Liverpool improve their depth will change Premier League Odds odds next season.

Hector Bellerin

It was a long wait for Hector Bellerin to return to first team action.

Potentially working through some rust and getting back to match fitness, he’s not been impressive since the league restarted.

Some would even argue that Gunners youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles should be starting ahead of him.

Arsenal, on the back of wins over Liverpool and Manchester City, are a team to watch in online betting next season. Mikel Arteta is building something, but will it include Bellerin as the first choice right-back?

Antonio Candreva

Recently extending his contract until the end of 2021/22, Antonio Candreva’s future at Inter looks secure despite interest from Atalanta.

Candreva - Inter Milan

The signing of Achraf Hakimi could see him slip to the bench, however. Candreva has started 22 and come off the bench in seven for Inter in Serie A this season.

Hakimi can play on either side as a wing-back for Antonio Conte, of course, but links to Emerson Palmieri suggest the former Real Madrid speedster will be on the right, shunting Candreva out of the XI.

David De Gea

The second Manchester United man on this list, David De Gea’s future at Manchester United should be in question.

Howlers have haunted his game in the last couple of seasons, as was highlighted with two shockers against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final.

United have a better goalkeeper on their books in Dean Henderson. They have unparalleled spending power to sign someone else if they so please. De Gea has become a weakness.

He might not fall out favour, but he should - and United fans may turn on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if he sticks by the Spaniard.

Mark Noble

West Ham have needed to upgrade their midfield for some time. David Moyes tried playing Mark Noble with Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek, but it unsurprisingly didn’t work.

If Rice remains at the club, he and Soucek should be Moyes’ first choice pairing.

Noble, a loyal servant to the club, needs to become a squad player if West Ham are to pull away from the perennial threat of yo-yoing.

British football has produced some of the greatest club teams of all-time.

From European Cup winners to Centurions and Invincibles, the best British football teams can be held alongside the best offerings from Spain and Italy.

Best British Club Teams

Led by some of the most influential managers in football history, these teams achieved success that will forever be remembered, and in some cases, they changed the way the sport is thought about in Britain.

https://www.888sport.com/blog/football-prediction

There was a lot of competition for this top 10, but here are the 10 best club teams in the history of British football…

Manchester City's Centurions

Pep Guardiola was linked with a move to the Premier League for a long time.

Mentioned as a successor to Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, it was Manchester City who built the club ready for Guardiola after his stint at Bayern Munich.

It took time, and some squad rebuilding, for Guardiola to get the team as he wants. Once he did, though, City were majestic.

They bordered on unbeatable, they scored for fun and toyed with opponents on their way to 100 points and the Premier League title.

Celtic's Lisbon Lions

Few football betting experts would have fancied Celtic to beat Internazionale in the 1967 European Cup final. The Lisbon Lions are one of the most famous groups of footballers in the history of the game.

The most common line is about 14 of the 15-man squad being born within 10 miles of Celtic Park.

Their win over Inter was historic, though, and they are one of only three teams to have won five trophies in a single season.

The Lisbon Lions were the first British team to win the European Cup, and nearly repeated the feat in 1970.

Arsenal's Invincibles

Arsene Wenger achieved a lot in English football.

He won FA Cups galore, he won doubles, he brought beautiful football and developed some of the Premier League’s best ever players.

His greatest achievement, of course, was the invincible season in 2003/04, the third league title of the Wenger era.

The first and only English team to go a league season undefeated, Arsenal were rewarded with a gold trophy for their efforts.

Mourinho’s First Chelsea Stint

He arrived as the special one. It didn’t take Jose Mourinho long to prove himself right.

Chelsea were picking up star names since Roman Abramovich bought the club, and expectations were sky high when Mourinho took over in 2004.

What Chelsea and Mourinho delivered was beyond what even the most optimistic Chelsea fan could imagine.

They set a long-standing Premier League points record in 2004/05 and won the league by a comfortable distance with only one defeat along the way.

Spurs’ Double Winners

Led by Bill Nicholson, Spurs won the first division title at a canter in 1960/61 despite a mid-season blip which saw them win just two in seven over February and March.

The FA Cup run featured a quarter-final replay with Sunderland, but Spurs made light work of the second match, cruising to a 5-0 victory.

It was straight forward from then on with victories to nil against Burnley and Aston Villa.

Manchester United’s Treble Winners

The peak of Alex Ferguson’s trophy-laden tenure as Manchester United manager came in the 1998/99 season.

Arsenal had pipped them to the title in the previous season, but United more than made up for that in final Premier League season of the century, winning the league title, FA Cup and Champions League.

That famous night at the Camp Nou is the obvious highlight, but the success of this team, the style of football they played and the construction of the squad, quickly became the standard for Manchester United. It is the level the club aspire to.

The standards set in that season, the Class of ’92, are what Manchester United wants to be about. They may never replicate a treble with so many homegrown players, but it’s an example of what can be achieved.

Brian Clough’s Nottingham Forest

No British team, apart from Brian Clough’s Nottingham Forest, has retained the European Cup.

Nottingham Forest

It is a feat reserved for only a small group of teams, and arguably the most impressive achievement of any British club side.

Clough is the headline act of Forest, his charisma, his famous football quotes, every bit as memorable as the on-field achievements. What he built at Forest was historic in every sense.

Liverpool’s Early Eighties Dominance

Liverpool won four of five league titles in the late seventies. From 1981 to 1984 they wrapped up their first, and the second ever, threepeat in English football.

They won four consecutive League Cups to start the 1980s, and lifted the European Cup in 1981 and 1984 to follow up twice becoming champions of Europe in the previous decade.

Such supremacy, over the best part of a decade, is yet to be repeated.

Arsenal’s Inter-war Threepeat

Venturing into a very different era from the others on this list, the inter-war years saw Arsenal complete a threepeat between 1932 and 1935.

It’s a feat only achieved three times since; Liverpool in the early eighties, Manchester United across the turn of the century and United again from 2006 to 2009.
International cricketer Leslie Compton played for Arsenal in those three title wins, and the team was managed by Herbert Chapman.

Chapman, more open-minded than the most in English football at the time, was an early advocate for a European competition. He was an innovator, introducing team meetings and physical training regimes.

The Busby Babes

Recruited and trained by Joe Armstrong and Jimmy Murphy, the Busby Babes were a group of players who won back-to-back league titles in the mid-1950s.

Busby Babes - Best British Team

They were set for a period of silverware accumulation – the average age of the side that won the title in 1956/57 was just 22.

The Munich air disaster in 1958 is one of the most tragic incidents in sporting history. Eight players lost their lives, and two others were injured so severely that they never played again.
